Looks like we soon will be able to see PMP device with Full HD capability on the market. Let’s give our big bow to Sanyo Epson Imaging corp as this company has just successfully developed the world’s smallest full HD display at just 7.1-inch width. This low temperature polysilicon TFT LCD screen features advanced video engine AME (Auto-Movie-Enhancement) and fully optimized for mobile devices usage thus keeping the power consumption to minimal. Great, now I can stop saving my money to buy one of those large HD Plasma TVs.

Along with the small-size-big-advantage Full HD LCD display announcement, the company also mentioned another two new products. The first is a 2.6-inch LCD display which supports 1024×768 XGA resolution and features a viewing angle of 180 degrees, a contrast ratio of 500:1, and 262K colors display. The other invention is an interesting LCD display with built-in SRAM for remembering the last image on the screen.
