Creative Japan has just announced the next generation of their Zen series PMP, the Zen MX. Scheduled to be released in early Mai, this 66 grams device boasts a 2.5-inch LCD screen, voice recording capability, picture viewer, text viewer, and supports for WMV, DivX, MP3, WMA, and AAC multimedia formats. Measures 83.2 x 55 x 11.9mm, this portable player is available in either 8GB or 16GB internal storage.

Available in three flavours (black, silver, pink), the cool, unique Zen Mosaic MP3 Player features a 1.8-inch display, a built-in speakers, an integrated FM radio tuner, and voice recorder. Its front panel looks cute and obviously makes it different from similar gadgets. It contains 9 tactile buttons, including the Stop/Play button, Forward, and Rewind. If interested, the player is available in four capacity variants: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB.

Creative showcased this Zen Mosaic MP3 Player on their booth during IFA 2008 event. No detail about its price though.

Creative showcased its wonderful PMP, ZEN X-Fi, during IFA 2008. We’ve mentioned about this device earlier, so let’s just recap it for now. Featuring an award-winning Creative Xtreme Fidelity X-FI audio technology, ZEN X-Fi incorporates X-FI Crystalizer, the company’s proprietary audio technology that restores during playback the highs and lows that are lost when music is ripped to MP3, WMA, or AAC formats. It plays MP3, WMA and unprotected iTunes audio; and you can even access your song collection that is stored on your PC, thanks to its built-in WiFI connection. Moreover, users can also stream or download photos and video files in supported formats directly to the player.

The new portable media player from Creative looks perfect for accompanying your summer holiday. Called “ZEN Mosaic“, the PMP device offers a 1.8-inch display, a built-in speaker, integrated FM tuner, and up to 32 hours of playback. It can play various popular audio and video formats, including MP3, WMA, WAV, and AVI. And if you wonder how many files you can store inside, well, ZEN Mossaic is available in three different capacity variants (2GB, 4GB, and 8GB), all capable of keeping thousand of MP3s.

Creative ZEN Mossaic PMP will hit the store in early August with a price tag of €80 (about $125).

Creative has just introduced the new Zen Crystal Digital Audio Player. Measures 57 x 37 x 10.8mm, this compact MP3 player sports a 4GB of onboard storage, a built-in FM radio tuner, a blue OLED display, and a built-in pedometer. It plays both MP3 and WMA audio files. If interested, this baby is available on Creative’s Hong Kong website for around 55€ ($87).

The new wireless-ready PMP from Creative, Zen X-FI, would make John Woo’s and Tony Leung’s fans drooling as it packs with a limited edition of Red Cliff movie. Customers can then watch the movie on its 2.5-inch display and enjoy cinema-like environment through TravelSound Zen X-Fi Docking Speaker System which unfortunately seems to be available separately. Back to the device, it sports a built-in FM radio tuner, a voice recorder, onboard speaker, and both Yahoo and MSN instant messaging clients.

Available in three capacity variants (8GB, 16GB, and 32GB), Creative Zen X-Fi PMP is bundled with a pair of EP-380 earphone and Creative X-Fi Crystalizer technology. The price is set at $145, $209, and $254 respectively.

Two new models have been added by Creative Japan onto its Zen Vision PMP’s troop. The Zen Vision M and W both offer a slim body (15% slimmer than the previous generation) and a generous 60GB of internal hard drive. Able to playback various kinds of popular media formats, including picture, audio, and movie; the Zen Vision M comes in a hood that measures 62 x 14 x 19 mm nd weighs 170 grams, while the W model is kept inside a 280 grams device which has a dimension of 134 x 75 x 22 mm.

Portable media players (PMPs) are still coming of age, and it isn’t yet clear where the sweet spot is in terms of size and video quality. But Creative is definitely covering its bases, between its Zen Vision—a full-fledged PMP with a gorgeous 3.7-inch screen—and now the new Zen Vision:M ($329 direct), an iPod-size (yeah, we said it, so what?) 30GB player that plays music, photos, and video. Is this the iPod-killer the world has (or hasn’t) been waiting for? Not quite. Apple still wins out hands-down for hardware/software integration. Still, in terms of just the hardware, the Zen Vision:M comes closer to taking a bite out of Apple than anything else out there. Creative Zen Vision:M Portable Media Player is available in three colors (black, white, green) and comes with a large 3.7-inch (320×240) 262K colors LCD and support for various media format (MPEG-1/2/4, WMV9, MotionJPEG, XVid and DivX 4/5. MP3, WMA and WAV), including JPEG picture files. The battery offers 13 hours of audio playback and about 3 hours of video playback, probably enough for a long travel.
