After added the GeForce 8800M GTX SLI option onto XPS M1730, Dell now offers the magic of 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processor onto its most popular gaming laptop series. U.S customers will be able to opt-in for either 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo T8300 or 2.5Ghz T9300 CPUs. The former option (and other basic configuration) is priced at $2,399, while the latter would set ‘em back at $2,524. Soon the company will add the Core 2 Extreme X9000 Penryn on the list of M1730 configuration as well.

Remember Dell’s compact 13.3-inch XPS M1330 laptop? Well, the company will soon make the UBuntu version of this notebook PC available in U.S market. Previously, UBuntu 7.10-powered M1330 has been released in Europe, packed with Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor, 1GB of main memory, 120GB of HDD, DVD burner, Intel GMA X3100 graphics engine, and built-in 2 megapixel webcam. This kind of configuration is retailed for 848 EUR in Germany. No words how much it will be priced in States store.

Additionally, customers can subscribe for either a 30-day UBuntu beginners support (55 EUR), a 1 year basic support (60 EUR), or a 1 year standard support (90 EUR).

The “XPS M1730″ is Dell’s latest premium gaming laptop. Recently released in Korea market, this sleek and stylish notebook PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 processor, two 256MB nVidia GeForce 8700M GT graphics engine in SLI mode, and AGEIA PhysX 100M chipset. Along with a colorful case with LEDs, it is also equipped with a full-size backlit keyboard, a Blu-Ray disc drive, an integrated 2 megapixel webcam module, a built-in mic, and a 17-inch widescreen LCD monitor featuring a gray-to-gray response time of 7ms. Dell recently launched “XPS M1330″ laptop in Korea market. Weighs 1.8kg, this 13.3-inch WXGA laptop boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an up to 4GB of main memory, an up to 250GB of SATA hard drive, and an nVidia GeForce 8400M graphics engine. Interestingly, it comes with dual webcam, one with 2 megapixel sensor for CCFL display, and other with 0.3MP for WLED display. These two cams let users to enjoy video chatting and making UCC. No words on pricing at the moment, but the notebook PC will be available in three flavours: red, blue, and black.

Remember the auction on Ebay from Dell and Blizzard for their World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade limited-edition XPS-M1710 laptops? Well, the winner of the charity auction has been announced with the combined bid of nearly $12,000. Those lucky (and rich) person are Trip Hoover (Texas) and Daniel Marinow (Germany), and each will receive the custom-painted XPS M1710 Burning Crusade, featuring airbrush creation from renowned artist Mike Lavelle. Each gaming laptop will be signed by Michael Dell, Dell’s Chairman, and Rob Pardo, Blizzard Entertainment’s Vice President of Gaming.

All of the fund received from the auction will go toward AMerica’s Second Harvest, the Nation’s Food Band Network.

Want a good gaming laptop but only prefer the coolest on the street? Well, now it’s your chance to get one. Dell, together with Blizzard Entertainment, has just put the limited World of Warcraft edition of its XPS M1710 laptop for auction on eBay. According to the company, the notebook is designed by renowned artist, Mike Lavalle, and features his airbrushed re-creation of original composition from the new World of Warcraft expansion. Furthermore, the whole profit from the auction will go into America’s Second Harvest.

Two version of the WoW XPS M1710 Gaming Laptops are currently available for auction. Each was signed by Michael Dell, Dell’s Chairman, and Rob Pardo, Blizzard’s Vice President of Gaming. The price is respectively set at $4,350 and $4,050.
