Shuttle recently announced the release of its new Home Theater PC (HTPC) in Korea, the “XPC G5 6801M“. Priced at €1250 (about $1,977), this compact PC is powered by an AMD Athlon X2 6000+ processor, a 2GB of DDR2-800 main memory, a 500GB of SATA2 hard drive, and a 256MB ATI HD3450 graphics engine. Furthermore, it comes with built-in HD support, along with a HD-DVD and Blu-Ray combo drive (LG GGC-H20L) and integrated DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcast Terrestrial) and analog TV tuner. What a wonderful entertainment machine!

“Shuttle SG33G2″ is the latest mini PC from XPC, a compact computer specialist manufacturer. Priced at 43,000 Yen (or about €254), the machine is powered by an Intel Core 2 processor (Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Extreme CPUs are supported as well), an Intel G33 Express chipset, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 graphics engine with HDMI support, and cool Dolby Digital Live and DTS Connect sound engine. Moreover, it has a PCI Express x16 slot, UATA, and 3Gbps SATA support as well.

This ViiV-ready PC is powered by Intel Core Duo T2400 (1.83GHz) processor, 512MB of DDR2-533 RAM, nVidia GeForce 7600GS graphics engine with 256MB of VRAM, 4x DVD Dual Drive, and 250GB of SATA2 HDD. A 7.1-channel Realtek audio system is provided for your ears, while for connecting with other devices, you’ll have the options between 802.11b/g WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, and card reader. Looks good, but unfortunately, for HD-freaks, you’ll be dissapointed since no HDMI support included on this Media Center PC.

Other features include wireless keyboard, trackball mouse, VGA and DVI output, component video, S/PDIF, and S-video connector. Measures 17.5 x 14 x 3.5 inches, XPC Media Center PC includes dual NTSC TV tuners as well. No detail about price and availability yet.
