Sanyo officially announced “Xacti DMX-HD700″ camcorder in Japan market. Scheduled to hit the shelves on October 19th, the camera sports a 7.1 megapixel sensor, a SD/SDHC external storage, and PictBridge, a wireless direct printing function via Bluetooth. Being a full HD camcorder, it supports MPEG4 / AVC(H.264) formats, allowing users to create high quality HD movies easily, as well as enjoy the recorded movie on a HDTV via HDMI port and share them on the web. Regarding still images, the camera comes with “Face Chaser” function that automatically focus the camera to the face of the object.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 camcorder will be available in three different flavours: silver, red, and brown. Price info hasn’t been revealed though.

Sanyo presents “XACTI DMX-CA65″ camcorder, the waterproof version of the previously released “XACTI DMX-CG65″. Apart from the ability to take a video recording down to 1.5m depth, it has similar capabilities as its big brother. Including a 6 megapixel (1/2.5-inch) CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, 12x digital zoom, autofocus, a 2.5-inch display, and built-in microphone. Measures 67.7 x 100.3 x 34.5mm and weighs 150grams, it can take a still image in up to 3680 x 2760 resolution (JPEG) and video in either 320×240 @30fps and 640×480 @30fps MPEG-4/H.264 formats.

Lot of digital cameras news lately. Here’s another one, the Xacti E7 from Sanyo. Comes in an ultra-slim hood, this 7.1 digicam sports a large color LCD display and a 3x optical zoom lens with autofocus capability. Sadly, no optical viewfinder incorporated. No words on pricing and availability either, so let’s just wait for more detail from the company.

Sanyo recently released the latest Xacti camcorder to the market, the Xacti 2.0 series. The brand new model that mark the debut of the new series is the green-colored Xacti CG65. This video camera recorder features support for H.264 format, an 18MB of onboard memory, a 6 megapixel CCD sensor, and VGA video recording at 30fps (3Mbps).

No words on pricing and avalability at the moment.

I’m thinking of making my own podcast (not for this blog though) and currently looking for a decent voice recorder. And I think this Xacti ICR-PS28RM from Sanyo really deserves into my consideration list. This digtal PCM dictaphone is able to record voice in a nice audio CD quality (in either MP3 or PCM format) and features a 2GB of internal memory, USB port, and music playback capability (MP3, PCM, WMA, and DRM10-WMA). Powered by one single AAA battery, you can use it to record your own voice for up to 25 hours nonstop. Too bad there’s no info on pricing and availability yet.

Tempted gadget hounds might want to think twice and consider the camera’s hidden costs (SD Card, extra RAM, and a more robust editing suite), which could easily add $500 to the price tag.
