Everyone, let’s say “Hello” to the latest Hello Kitty-themed stuff on the market. As you can see above, this one is a cute Hello Kitty wristwatch series. Made by Citizen, there are at least three models of the watches at the moment. I like the one in the middle and on the right (looks elegant!). No words on pricing unfortunately.

This one must be inspired by any of those James Bond movies… a wristwatch with PDA capabilities! Damn, it even has a touchscreen display, apart from GSM phone and SMS messages functionalities, media player, notes, schedule, basic handwriting recognition, and 60MB of onboard storage. There are many ways to learn other languages. Take a course for example, get a dictionary, or buy a pocket e-dictionary. But learning Japanese language would never be the same with this cool “Talking Japanese Watch”. This wristwatch, priced at just $24, will tell you the current time in Japanese, so at least you can learn a bit about it and later, whenever your friend asks you the time, you can tell him in Japanese.

Talking Japanese Watch is created by Marchand de Legumes. It is available in several different bright colors, but unfortunately out of stock. Oh, btw, it’s not water resistant, so once you manage to get one, don’t forget to stay away from water.

Being a full-time blogger, I can work and update my blogs anytime anywhere. If I get bored working at home, I usually go to cafe with wireless access and work there using my laptop. However, sometimes I got disappointed because after I sit down, ordered the menu, opened my notebook, and turn it on, I found out that their WiFi connection is down. If only I have this “WiFI Detector Watch”, I don’t have to waste my time on a cafe with broken or bad WiFI connectivity. All I have to do is press the button on this wristwatch and it will show the strenght of the available WiFI signal, as a number between 0 (lowest) to 8 (strongest). Of course, apart of that geeky hi-tech functionality, this watch is also a fully-functional common watch, styled with steel case and rubber strap band.

Nike recently launched Amp+ Sport Remote Control, another additional kit for Nike+iPod Sport Kit. By using the new Amp+ watch, users will be able to fully control their iPod, as well as listen to audio feedback for their current workout and of course, aware of the current time. It comes with a stainless steel buckle and a polyurethane strap that can be cut to fit any wrist. Moreover, thanks to its water-resistant capability, you can still change the track under the water (down to 50 meters).

Nike Amp+ Sport Remote Control is available in several flavours and costs $79 each.

Narae Inter, a Korea-based company, unveiled a cool all-in-one multimedia wristwatch named “BizWatch” in Korea market. This watch comes with built-in digital audio player (MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM) and voice recording capability. You can store your music on its onboard storage, ranged from 256MB up to 2GB. It is equipped with USB connection as well, allowing you to use the watch as a UFD (USB Flash Disk). No words on pricing and availability unfortunately.

Check this out, a new PMP wristwatch from Thanko. Called “MP4 Metal”, this metal-looks watch comes with a 128×128 (or 160×128) display and either 2GB o 4GB of onboard storage. I supposed it’d be able to playback a host of popular media formats, such as MP3, MP4, and WAV. No words on pricing though.

For an affordable price of just $56, the CVESG-S818-2 (WTH!) is a worthy wristwatch. Developed by a China-based manufacturer named ChinaVision, this watch comes with a 1.8-inch screen that allows you watch MP4 videos and view JPEG (and other common image formats) pictures. Moreover, you can listen to your MP3 audio collections and even tune in to your favourite radio station, thanks to its built-in FM radio tuner.

Other features include WMA and WAV media support, standard 3.5mm headphone jack, voice recorder capability, USB interface, and a 2GB of onboard memory.

Here’s a few more detail and better picture (above) of GlobalSat’s upcoming GH-615 GPS Wristwatch. Mainly designed as a personal assistant for professionals, athletes, lap runners, hikers, parachutists, and such, the watch comes with a built-in GPS functionalities powered by SiRF Star III chipset. It is capable of calculating your speed, distance covered, and more; as well as storing up to 100 locations on its internal memory so you can easy return to the previous points using a simple graph of navigation. Furthermore, thanks to the IPX7 water resistant compliance, you’d still be able to keep track on your exercise even under the heavy rain.

No words on pricing yet, but GlobalSat GH-615 GPS Wristwatch will be bundled with a nice software that can extract the recorded courses, transfer the data on the PC, and check the result on Google Earth. It’ll be available in France very soon this year.

Microsoft recently presented “Abacus Smart Watch 2006″, an impressive wristwatch with built-in support for MSN Direct service, during CES 2007. This service enables the watch to receive and display various useful real-time information, such as news, weather, stock, and sports. Users can also receive daily horoscopes, diversion, and lotteries; as well as download different watch faces and accept personal message sent from MSN Messenger.
