Buffalo presents its new 1.3 megapixel webcam, the BWC-130MH03A model. The nice thing about this product is that it comes with an internal microphone, thus avoiding the need of separate headset. Good job Buffalo!

The next generation of Pepper Pad, a handheld web and entertainment PC, has arrived in Korea. The maker, Hanbit Electronics co-op with Pepper Computing Company, unveiled the new Pepper Pad 3 during the recent Korean Electronics Show (KES) 2006 event. Eventhough this is not a completely fresh from the oven (US market is the first one to get it), this Linux-based portable PC is still worth mentioned.

Before we talk about the features, let’s check out the specs first. Pepper Pad 3 Handheld Web/Entertainment Computer is powered by AMD LX800 processor, 256MB of RAM, 20GB of HDD, and Pepper Platform 3.0. It comes with a 7-inch colors LCD display and remote control, and supports both WiFI and Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR connectivity.

So, what can this mobile PC do? First, as a handheld web device, it lets you browse the web, send email, and chat with your friends using instant messaging. Second, as a portable entertainment, you can expect to be able to watch movie, listen to the music, tune-in to your favourite internet radio, and play some built-in games. If you check out the last screenshot below, you can also see that Pepper Pad 3 comes with navigation software as well. Pretty cool, huh?

Priced at $32 and currently only available in Japan, the software, that is based on Opera desktop browser, is available on a DS cartridge. Simply insert the card into a WiFi enabled Nintento DS, connect to a network, and you can start browsing your favourite web sites on its dual screens. Of course, you can expect a superior speed and web pages rendering on the DS, just like what you get on the desktop.

“The incredibly popular Nintendo DS is already Wi-Fi enabled to support real time gaming, so adding Web browsing capabilities was a natural evolution for this device,” says Scott Hedrick, Executive Vice President, Opera Software. “Gaming devices are growing more advanced and a great Web experience is becoming a product differentiator for gaming manufacturers. Opera is excited to work with Nintendo to deliver a unique dual screen, full Internet experience on Nintendo DS.”

The PetC@m all come inside a dog doll. There are four types of dog: the Dalmatian, Bengle, Golden Retriever, and Bull Terrier. But while other similar devices stand on the desk, these dolls “lay” on your monitor like a real dog (much like a computer topper).

But do you know that you can also control your car online using your web browser? Well, at least I just know about this.

This service is offered by Guidepoint. Recently, on their press release, they announced that they have launched a new service that lets drivers track and control their vehicles with a cell phone, BlackBerry, or other Web-enabled wireless device. Using Guidepoint wireless access protocol (WAP) service, subscribers can unlock doors, start the engine, and honk the horn through any web browser, including from PC. Also, the vehicle tracking service can display a map pinpointing the vehicle location, as well as a text readout of the street address where the vehicle is located.

Hmmm, that sounds nice. I surely can use it to show off to <del datetime="2005-10-31T02:10:26+00:00">babes</del> my friends
