LG Transformers 2 Versa Cell Phone

LG has just unveiled the Transformers 2 special edition of its popular Versa, the LG Transformers 2 Versa cell phone. It sports a nice Decepticon logo on its body, which will make all Transformers die-hard fans want to be the first to own the handset. Transformers 2 itself, also known as Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, is the sekuel of 2007’s box office movie Transformers which again follows the adventure of Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), along with Optimus Prime, on their high-tense journey againts evil Decepticon forces.

LG Versa itself is an affordable dual-band CDMA handset, featuring a 3-inch touchscreen display (240 x 480), a 3D graphics interface, media player, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and an integrated 2 megapixel camera module. Measures 106 x 53 x 14 mm and weighs 108 grams, the phone can survive up to 4.83 hours of talk time and up to 430 hours of standby time.

LG Electronics officially launched Versa (model: VX9600) cell phone via Verizon Wireless today. This handset sports a unique detachable QWERTY keypad thus making it more compact and lighter than average QWERTY mobile phones. There’s also an accelerometer function which automatically rotate the screen from portrait to landscape, or vice versa, depend on the user usage orientation. Other features include a built-in web browser supporting Flash video and multiple browsing windows, touchscreen display, virtual keyboard, an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module with video recording capabilities, media player, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity, mobile e-mail service, WiFI, microSD media card slot, and up to 290 minutes of usage and 430 hours of standby time.

LG Versa cell phone is retailed for $200 at Verizon Wireless stores with a two-year wireless subscription.

NEC To Release Versa Pro VY20/W-1 Laptop With Core 2 Duo CPU

NEC is going to release its new BTO (Built-To-Order) laptop under the Versa Pro range. The VY20/W-1, powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor, will be equipped with a 512MB of DDR2 RAM, an ATI Radeon XPress 1250/IXP 460 graphics engine, a 40GB of HDD, SXGA+ display, and a CD-R/DVD combo drive. No words about the price and availibility of this 15-inch laptop yet.

NEC Versa L1100 Ultra-Portable Laptop

NEC recently unveils its latest member of the VERSA lapop series, the ultra-portable L1100 model. Claimed to be the perfect blend between functionality and mobility, the company uses the following ingredients to create the laptop – a 13.1-inch (1280×768) WXGA widescreen LCD display with proprietary Super Shine View technology, Intel Pentium M processor (or opt-in for Intel Celeron M for a little bitter taste), up to 2GB of DDR RAM, 128MB shared system memory for the graphics engine (supposedly used Intel GMA 950), and up to 100GB of HDD. For the sauce, add the built-in Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG Network Connection, 10/100 LAN, integrated 56K modem, three USB 2.0 ports, and one IEEE-1394 port to the mix. ~~Stir gently.~~ Sorry, I forgot. Versa L1100 laptop comes with pre-installed Microsoft Windows XP Home Editition operating system. It’s already genuine, so you don’t have to go through all the mess to bypass the WGA check. Several handy applications have been included as well, including Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0, Norton Antivirus, Acrobat Reader, CyberLink PowerCinema™, RecordNow, Master CD Creator and Smart Restore. Oh, NEC doesn’t forget about the external looks too as the laptop sports an elegant latch less LCD panel design and there’s an additional Click feature that alerts users if the notebook has been shut correctly.
