To provide more entertainment to mobile person, Asus has a great product called Express TV Stick Hybrid. This USB device delivers both DVBT (Digital Video Broadcast – Terrestrial) and analog TV channels right to your PC or laptop in a single stick. It also comes with a 4GB of storage, which contains the software and driver you need to install this TV tuner to your computer. You could also take a snap shot or record your favourite TV programme right on the device. Nice peripheral for mobile multimedia entertainment!

Just a quick news about Buffalo’s latest external DVD burner, DVSM-PN58U2V. This slim drive, mainly used with netbook, measures 137 x 20 x 142mm and weighs at just 340 grams, so you can put it on your netbook bag without feeling an extra weight. Available in black and white color, the burner can record data on both DVD-DL and DVD-RAM media. Note that since it uses power from your computer’s USB port, I recommend you to use both of your laptop’s USB port (one for supplying power to the drive and another for transferring / receiving data). In my experience (I owned an external DVD burner from LG), using only one USB port for both data and power is not enough…

If the external 7-inch secondary display is too small for you, come rejoice. Samsung has just entered the secondary monitor market and proudly announced the new Syncmaster Lapfit Series LCD Monitor. Currently available in two different models (the 19-inch LapFit LD190G and 20-inch LapFit LD220G), the LapFit monitor offers the ability to extend your laptop or netbook viewing experiences by simply connecting the display to your notebook’s USB port. However, since a monitor takes a lot of power consumption, the LapFit won’t take power from your USB’ and you need to plug it onto another power outlet.

Regarding specs, Samsung’s Syncmaster LapFit LD190G and LapFit LD220G LCD monitors feature a contrast ratio of 20000:1, a display resolution of 1360 x 768, and a USB hub.

Memorette, a Korea-based company, is going to release this cute square-shaped USB Flash Disk “Spongebob Squarepants” in Korea market this month. The disk will come with 64GB of storage and can be expected to make its appearance during the upcoming CeBIT 2009 event. I want it. Really. I’m a big fan of this yellow sponge. I watched almost all of its episodes, so really, I want this Spongebob flash disk soooo bad….

Many video editing or 3D animation software nowadays support the usage of two monitors. However, not many of us, who want to take the full advantages of those apps, have enough money to buy a secondary display monitor. The solution to this problem is to use an external USB display, which is kind of getting popular lately. One of them is the FTD-W71 USB External Display from Buffalo.
