Bong Kyu Song of SDESIGNUNIT from Korea has just created a unique umbrella called “Music In The Rain”. As its name stated, this umbrella won’t let you bored while walking alone under the rain — it will entertain you with some music! The speaker is placed inside the canopy, while the controller is on the handle. You can simply spin the umbrella left or right to forward (right turn) or reverse (left turn) the song. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Like the Sun~Brella, the Patio is a solar-powered umbrella that comes with the support base and table top. You can connect a television monitor and speaker system on the shaft of the umbrealla and they will be powered by the solar energy. The support base is made up of a hollow container, which can be filled with ice or chilled water. And there’s a pump within the shaft that draws chilled water up through to atomising spray nozzles that are arranged around the perimeter skirt of the umbrella cover.

This solar umbrella also included a fans. But unlike the Sun~Brella, they are placed inside the base. The fans circulate the cold air and expel it through louvered vents at deck chair level to cool the occupants sitting beneath the umbrella.

Sounds like a fun umbrella for the summer, doesn’t it?

It can collect energy from the solar and become an outlet to power small appliance. In other words, this is a solar-powered umbrella. Neat, isn’t it?

There’s a 6 foot diameter solar panel on top of the umbrella that uses Photovoltaics which is able to produce a peak output of 282 watts. Along with a plug in for small appliances, it also comes with a built in fan for additional cooling on hotter days. Hmmm, now that’s remind me to the strange Solar-Powered Fan Safari Hat.
