Nokia recently displayed several new phones during its annual Capital Market Days in Amsterdam. Along with the N6300, the company also unveiled its latest multimode Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) handset, the Nokia 6086 model. With a wide-range of connectivity options, including WLAN and Bluetooth, this quad-band GSM cell phone offers a seamless connectivity in any environment. Its classic design along with the large keypad and intuitive user menu also promised an easy-to-use operation for all kind of users. The UMA technology itself makes it possible for the operator to deliver voice and data services to their subscriber base over WLAN, decreasing their costs related to network deployment and dramatically increasing mobile service availability.

“The key to the success of the Nokia 6086 – and UMA technology for that matter – is the seamless consumer experience,” says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Phones, Nokia. “Based on a number of successful UMA trials, the Nokia 6086 has proven to be a top-performer, flawlessly switching from quad-band GSM to WLAN coverage, as the environment demands. The Nokia 6086 successfully integrates the radio technologies making them completely transparent to the consumer.”

Regarding specs, Nokia 6086 cell phone features an integrated VGA camera with video recording capability and 4x digital zoom, integrated music and movie player, a 6MB onboard memory with microSD media slot for extra storage, as well as up to 5 hours talktime and 10 days standby time.
