Sharp presents two sexy and stylish laptops, the PC-FW70X and PC-FW50X. These two 15.4-inch (1280×800) notebook PCs, available in black and white, are powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 and Mobile Sempron 3600+ processors. Both come with an UV coated case, protecting the machine from Ultra Violet ray, as well as WiFI connectivity, a DVD SuperMulti burner, a 120G of hard drive, and a 2GB of main memory.

Other features include a 50 minute (huh?!) and 1.1 hours of battery life or PC-FW50X and PC-FW70X laptops.

TRIGEM, a Korea-based manufacturer, unleashed its new Averatec series laptop, the 12.1-inch “Averatec 2500″ model. It comes with a nice Paisely pattern on its cover which looks quite fashionable. Inside its 1.8kg body, the machine carries a 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64 processor, a 160GB of hard drive, a 2GB of main memory, an ATI Radeon Express 1270 HyperMemory graphics engine, a DVD SuperMulti burner. Priced at 1,300,000 (KRW), it is also equipped with a 1.3MP webcam module, more than enough to satisfy those video chat-addicts, along with a WXGA AveraBrite display, and supports for Windows Vista.

Acer showcased “TravelMate 4520″ laptop during Taitronics Bangkok 2007 event. This 14.1-inch notebook PC is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor (that’s dual core) and features an ATI Radeon XPress 1250 graphics engine, a 1GB of main memory, and a 120GB of hard drive. No words on pricing and availability at the momen.

Once again NEC unveils a special yet limited LaVieG laptop, the Ragnarok edition. Like its LaVieG Hello Kitty, this notebook PC comes with Ragnarok’s art on its front cover. Ragnarok itself is a popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) developed by a Korean game company named GRAVITY Co., Ltd. It was first released in South Korea on 31 August 2002 for Microsoft Windows and has since been released in many other locales around the world. Much of the game’s mythos is based on Norse mythology, but its style has been influenced by Christianity and various Asian cultures as well.

Regarding specs, the features are not as good as the game though. It is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-21 (1.6GHz) processor and an 80GB hard drive. The 15.4-inch display has a resolution of 1280×768 which is supported by an ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics engine.

On Hewlett-Packard (HP)’s booth at CES 2007, we can find the recently released Pavilion tx1000 Tablet PC. Weighs 4.23 pounds, this convertible laptop is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 (dual-core) processor, a 2GB of main memory, and a 160GB of 5,400rpm SATA hard drive. It is equipped with a 12.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) touchscreen display with 180° rotation, supported by an integrated nVidia GeForce Go 6150 graphics engine with up to 128MB of shared VRAM. Wide-range connectivity options are supported, including WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, and integrated 56K modem.

Furthermore, HP Pavilion tx1000 Tablet PC also comes with a DVD burner, three USB ports, VGA-out and TV-out (S-Video), an ExpressCard slot, integrated HP Webcam module, built-in microphone, and fingerprint reader. It’ll be shipped with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed.

VoodooPC recently unveiled its new monster gaming laptop, the ENVY HW:201. This Turion 64 X2-based notebook boasts two 512MB nVidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics cards running in SLI mode (or 512MB nVidia Quadro FX 2500M GPU for those who don’t need a heavy gaming machine) and a large 20.1-inch widescreen display, perfect for entertainment purpose. It has started shipping on January 8th, but sorry, not sure about the price.

PC MicroWorks has just presented Vega, its new monster gaming laptop. FYI, this 20-inch notebook is the same as CompAmerica’s Tiger Shark 9500 X2, since both are the rebranded version of one from Clevo. However, Vega comes with several additional features, including Blu-Ray drive which allows you to burn up to 50GB of data on a single BD media and watch HD movies, EvDO connectivity for high-speed internet acces, up to 4GB of main memory, and a generous 600GB of hard drive.

As for the other specs, PC MicroWorks Vega laptop is equipped with an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 processor and either a 512MB nVIDIA Geforce GO 7950GTX SLI or nVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M SLI. Price for the machine is starting from $4,954 and up to a whopping $7,000 with all the goodies included.

It seems MSI, the Taiwan-based manufacturer, also want to have a piece of luxury gadget markets. Its new laptop series, the Crystal, comes with a luxurious Austrian crystals forming a ring on the notebook’s lid. The first member of MSI Crystal series is the M677 model which is said to be “the fusion of Austrian beauty and Taiwanesse innovation”.

Inside the classy and luxurious hood, one can find an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 5,400rpm hard drive, and a nVidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics engine. Furthermore, the 15.-4inch widescreen Crystal M677 laptop is also equipped with a DVD burner, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, an independent numeric keypad, and both Blueooth and 802.11b/g WiFI connectivity.
