I’m not a big Mortal Kombat fans as I’m more into Street Fighter. However, I can’t hardly wait for this game to be released. Yes, it’s the clash between Mortal Kombat’s and DC Universe’s world, titled “Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe“. Of course you can expect to control your favourite characters from both universe. Myself will definitely use Superman to kick Liu Kang’s ass. Anyway, from the trailer and screenshot below, you can see the fight between Sub Zero and Batman. Looks promising.

Resident Evil: Degeneration (also known as ‘Bio Hazard: Degeneration’ in Japan) is the first full-length CG animation movie based on the highly popular Resident Evil game series. Two of the confirmed characters are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Refield. As for the story, it will take place about 7 years after the Raccoon City’s incident (RE1, RE2, RE3) which is two years after Umbrella Corporation was destroyed (RE: The Umbrella Chronicles) or one year after Ashley Graham kidnapped (RE4). The (very) short trailer shows an event where zombies are attacking SWAT officers in an airport terminal.

Resident Evil: Degeneration was first announced by Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan on on October 29, 2007. The scheduled release date is this year. Hopefully, we don’t have to wait very long for this movie.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is the sequal to Tecmo’s popular 3D action game, Ninja Gaiden. In this game, you’ll control Ryu Hayabusa and help him avenge his clan and prevent the destruction of the human race. Ninja Gaiden 2 runs on brand new engine and sports an auto-generation health system, new enemies and locales, as well as thrilling combat built upon an extensive assortment of ninja weaponry. The trailer for the XBox 360 system looks awesome though, hopefully it’d be better than Conan (trailer).

If I need one good reason to buy PS3, then this is it! “Resident Evil 5″ is the upcoming installment on Capcom’s Resident Evil saga. According to Jun Takeuchi, the game’s producer, RE5 takes place ten years after the events of the original Resident Evil. The game will explore Chris Redfield’s life during the ten year interval between the two games. During the game’s events, he is a member of a group known as BSAA, and sent to investigate an incident in a desert area that serves as the game’s setting. Takeuchi also confirmed that a female character from the series will appear in the game.

Btw, do you know that the third Resident Evil movie will be out very soon this month (September 21st to be precise)? I just happen to know today. The movie is called “Resident Evil: Extinction” and it will adapt several plot elements from Resident Evil: Code Veronica, as well as feature various characters and creatures from the game series.

Nintendo recently released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Wii title, “Metroid Prime 3: Corruption”. This most-anticipated hits, developed by Retro Studios, is the tenth game in the Metroid saga and the third main installment in the Metroid Prime trilogy, excluding the two spin-off titles. The game takes place six months after the events of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and introduces a new control system based on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. North American will be the first to taste the game, as early as August 27th, followed by European in October 26, 2007.

“My Sims” is the next big hit in The Sims-franchise. The game was exclusively developed by EA Games for Nintendo Wii and DS. It features a cute chibbi characters, in hope to boost the sales in Japan. FYI, Japanese doesn’t like all of those The Sims game series, so probably a little help from Animal Crossing (from the trailer, IMHO, My Sims looks almost exactly like Animal Crossing) would do…

If you love Mario Kart DS, then you might enjoy this upcoming DS title as well, Cocoto Racer (check after the jump for Mario Kart DS trailer if you want to compare them). The Cocoto Racer game itself is scheduled to hit the store in October 19th with suggested price of about £24.99.

It’s been a long time since we posted Silent Hill’s teaser screenshot. Finally, the trailer of this game-to-movie adaption has been released. So, enjoy it (link below). Just keep your finger cross and hope that it won’t suck as much as Doom.

Starring Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, and Deborah Kara Unger, the movie is about Rose (Mitchell) who desperately searches for her lost daughter in the mysterious, terrifying town of Silent Hill, where they are trapped.
