Toshiba updated its Satellite Pro S300 series laptop with the new 15.4-inch model, the Satellite Pro S300-EZ2521. Powered by a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, the notebook features a WXGA display, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics engine, a 3GB of DDR2 main memory, a 250GB of hard drive, an integrated webcam, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity, and SuperMulti DVD burner. No words on pricing at the moment, but the company promises that it will hit the store very soon this month.

Toshiba used to be the first choice of laptop for most people in my country. But due to its bad perfomance (high heat, slow, etc), many people have moved to Sony’s or Acer’s notebooks. Not to mention the increasing number of cheap local laptop product here (BYON, Axioo, Advante, A-Note, etc).

Toshiba updated their portfolio with the new series of REGZA Series LCD TV, REGZA C8000. All sports 120Hz panel technology and reduced power consumption. Currently, there are three different models are available — the 42-inch 42C8000 (127kW/year power consumption, full HD 1080p resolution), the 37-inch 37C8000 (119kW/year power consumption, full HD 1080p resolution), and the 32-inch 32C8000 (95kW/year power consumption, a resolution of 1366 x 768). The first two TVs have a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 13000:1; while the last one has a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 30000:1. No words on pricing at the moment.

While Toshiba isn’t on my list of favourite notebook manufacturer, I must admit that this Dynabook Qosmio WXW series laptop looks really gorgeous — cool red-colored hood with wonderful body design. Obviously targetted hardcore gamers market, the laptop has just been upgraded with higher specs. Including a 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 processor, a 1GB nVidia GeForce 9800M GTS graphics engine, a DVD SuperMulti drive, and either a 128GB SSD or a 160GB of hard drive storage. A standard configuration with 2GB of main memory would cost you around 280,000 Yen or about €2,435 (around US $3,129). I just wish Toshiba would make more laptop like this one…

Fans of Toshiba’s laptop would love to hear this news. One of their popular notebook series, the Dynabook SS RX2 laptop, recently got a specs and price update. The new specs will now include a 1.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, either a 128GB of SSD or a 160GB of hard drive, a 3GB of main memory (only 2GB in previous specs), a 12.1-inch WXGA display with a brightness of 250cd/m2 (the old model has only 200cd/m2), and a 30% smaller AC adapter. There’s also an optional WAN module that works with KDDI AU Network using the CDMA 1X WIN network… which is unfortunately, won’t work overseas. Too bad…

On the bright side, the new Dynabook SS RX2 laptop comes with a slightly cheaper price than the original… Well, like everyone said, a coin always has two faces…

Toshiba is one of the most popular laptop’s brand in my country, Indonesia. I don’t know, but people here seem to love it very much. Including my father, who also owned a Toshiba’s notebook (I don’t quite remember its sub-brand and model number) until last year… when a thief broke into our house and stole the laptop… Anyway, here’s the new Dynabook NX series laptop from Toshiba, sporting an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, a 12.1-inch WXGA display, a 3GB of main memory, and a 128GB of SSD (160GB and 250GB HDD version are also available). Not sure about the price, but this machine can already be found on Japan store with three variant of colors — Glossy Black, Noble White, and Lotus Pink.

Toshiba has just unleashed the new Dynabook Satellite PXW series laptop in Japan. Two models are available immediately, the PXW/55GW and PXW/57GW. The former comes with a 15.4-inch (1280×800, WXGA) resolution, a 2GHz Intel Celeron 575 processor, an Intel GL40 Express chipset, a 2GB of main memory (upgradeable up to 4GB), a 160GB of hard drive, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. It is also equipped with a media card reader, three USB ports, and WIFI connectivity. The notebook is retailed for around €800 (about $1,064).

As for Satellite PXW/57GW laptop, it has almost similar configuration, with better CPU, a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400. This one can be purchased for €930 or around $1,237.

Toshiba has just unveiled the new 14.1-inch Tecra R10 laptop, featuring a thin-and-light design with the powerful Intel Centrino 2 technology. At just 1.13-inch thick and 4.4 pounds weighs, the notebook features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 128MB nVidia Quadro NVS 150M graphics engine, a 1280×800 widescreen display with LED backlight, an integrated webcam module, an Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN wireless module, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, and two USB ports. Moreover, it is equipped with an additional USB/eSATA combo port with “Sleep and Charge” function, PC Card and ExpressCard slots, a 6-in-1 media card reader, Firewire port, DVI-D, and VGA outputs. The company also aware of the user’s data as they include a fingerprint reader and Trusted Platform Module 1.2 for enhanced security, along with Intel vPro technology for easier IT Management and standard 6-cell battery unit that provides up to 5.48 hours of usage.

The first model on this series, Tecra R10-S4401 laptop, contains 2.26Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo SP9300 CPU, a 3GB of DDR2 main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, and a DVD burner. It runs on Windows Vista Business OS and retailed for $1,549.

Here’s Toshiba’s newest netbook, the 8.9-inch NB100. Priced at €450 in Japan (or €330 in Europe), the mini laptop sports a LED backlighted WSXGA (1024×600) display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB of RAM, a 120GB of hard drive, WiFI connectivity, Bluetooth, three USB ports, and 5-in-1 media card reader (SD/SDHC/MMC/Memory Stick/Memory Stick PRO). So, NB100 or Eee PC? That’s your choice!

Toshiba introduced a new Dynabook series, the Dynabook NX laptop. This notebook family features a 12.1-inch LED backlight display with WXGA (1280×800) resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor (1.20GHz), a 2GB of main memory (expandable up to 3GB), a 128GB of SSD (or 160GB of SATA HDD if you prefer), a DVD SuperMulti burner, a 802.11b/g/n WiFI connectivity, SD media card slot, e-SATA port, and three USB ports. Not bad.

Toshiba Dynabook NX laptop will be retailed for around €1,200 (about $1,721) for the HDD version and €1,930 (about $2,768) for the SSD version. Quite expensive.
