T-Mobile finally officially announced G1 smartphone, the first cell phone powered by Google Android operating system. Expected to hit the store with a price tag of $179, this black-colored handset (white and brown flavour are also available) comes with anything you want to beat your neighbour’s iPhone 3G. To mention a few: a touch-sensitive display, QWERTY keyboard, WiFI connectivity, and sexy design. It also packs a bunch of Google apps and services, such as Google Maps with StreetView, GMail, and YouTube; as well as ‘Android Market’, a dedicated place where G1 users can find and download applications to expand and personalize their phone.

G1 cell phone is developed by HTC of Taiwan and scheduled to make its debut on October 22. UK will receive the same handset in November, while most European will get them in the first quarter of 2009.

Samsung has made its SGH-T539 handset available exclusively on T-Mobile. Dubbed as “Beat”, the music phone offers enhanced music capabilities, which include a built-in stereo speaker, a host of dedicated music keys, and Bluetooth A2DP stereo support. It comes bundled with a wired stereo headset, a USB cable for transferring media files from and to your PC, and a 1GB memory card pre-loaded with two songs. This rumor has spread over the blogosphere recently. It’s due to the fact that T-Mobile, the developer of highly-popular Sidekick phone, has just registered two new domains, sidekickle.com (Sidekick LE?) and sidekicklx.com (Sidekick LX?). However, no one has been able to figure out what kind of phones are they (well, no confirmation that the domains will be used for showcasing a new cell phone either), so let’s stay tune for more information.

Rumor says that Nokia N95 cell phone, “the so-called mobile pc phone”, will soon make its way to T-Mobile with a nice price of $750 (should be lower if purchased with a 2-years agreement). Of course, the higher the price, the better specs you get. And Nokia doesn’t fool you on that basic rule as the phone sports a 5 megapixel camera module, built-in GPS capabilities, bright and clear 240×320 colors TFT display, the latest Symbian OS 9.2 platform, and a nice dual-sliding design. T-Mobile has just officially released SideKick iD, the downgraded version of Sidekick 3 cell phone. Called SKiD, this handset retains almost all the good stuff found on Sidekick 3, including impressive instant messaging capabilities (AIM, YM, and Windows Live), text messaging, HTML web browser, wireless email, full QWERTY keyboard, and trackball. It even has better battery life with up to 5.3 hours of talktime and 6 days of standby time. What missing are the built-in MP3 player and camera module. Its plastic case seems to be cheaper as well.

T-Mobile Sidekick iD cell phone is scheduled to hit the store in April 25. It can be purchased for just $99.99 which is half the price of the original Sidekick 3.

T-Mobile is going to distribute HTC’s Athena as T-Mobile Ameo in Europe. Measures 13.3 x 9.8 x 16cm, Ameo is a PDA phone packed with a touchscreen display, quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) support, and integrated GPS capabilities. T-Mobile has just debuted the new limited edition of its popular Sidekick 3 cell phone. The stylish and fashionable new version is designed by Diane von Furstenberg, a famous fashion designer, together with Lifted Reasearch Group (L-R-G), a streetwear company. As you can see from the picture above (and another one after the jump), the new design really kicks ass. The company planned to start selling it at selected T-Mobile stores and online starting from October 30th

The Sidekick 3 cell phone itself is a perfect combination between a mobile communication device and multimedia player. It features built-in support for three major instant messaging clients (AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN Messenger), personal email, and web browsing. No more blurry images. No more leaked photos. FCC has spilled a lot of detail of the upcoming T-Mobile Sidekick 3 cell phone that is going to see the light on July 10th. The highly anticipated music and fashion phone will feature an integrated mini music player that can be activated through a shortcut key, easy playlist navigation, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth connection, and GSM network support. The package will come with the phone itself, Sim card, removable battery, miniSD card, USB cable, battery charger, handsfree stereo headset, wrist strap, and carrying case. Now we only have to wait for the estimated price announcement from T-Mobile.
