About Taryn Manning (Biography)

Honestly, I don’t know anything about this girl until today (well, I’ve got to do some research before I can write this post, right?). She was born on November 6th, 1978, in Falls Church, Virginia. When she was 16, Taryn spent her free time after school taking voice and acting lessons. Her classmates included Leelee Sobieski, Erika Christensen and Kirsten Dunst.

In 1999, she became a guest-star on the David E. Kelley show, the Practise. Then in the same year, she was featured as Rebecca Peabody in nine episodes of the short-lived FOX series, Get Real.

With his brother, Kellin, she makes a duo named Boomkat. Boomkat’s first album, boomkatalog.one, was released April 8th, 2003. Since then, their single “The Wreckoning” has reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

As an actress, she has taking a role in several movies, including Crazy/Beautiful (2001), Crossroads (2002), White Oleander (2002), 8 Mile (2002), Cold Mountain (2003), and Dandelions (2004). Click here for more information about her movies.
