S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 is currently being demonstrated at the Symbian Smartphone Show in London. As an enrichment to the popular Symbian S60 mobile platform, the package offers an enhanced user experiences with web browsing, location capabilities and device management functions. Several functions, such as audio messaging, video ringtone, animated screensaver, and multiple alarms, have been added as well. The S60 3rd Edition feature Pack 1 is backward compatible with S60 3rd Edition and it is available immediately for S60 device manufacturers.

More about the new features, the most handy addition is those new browser-related functions. Include an auto complete typing, password manager, and a floating toolbar that gives quick and easy access to the most-used features. Advanced device management features enable businesses to manage add-on applications remotely, and the full featured location middleware in S60 makes it possible to efficiently create location solutions.
