According to SK Telecom, the slider design will let their engineer to produce a smaller phone with bigger screen at the same time as the design allow more space on the front panel for LCD screen. While the swivel design gives the flexibility of turn the screen around for better angle of camera view.

The other model (black color) from the image below, has another unique design – a slider keypad and a slider screen. The screen itself hides the multimedia player function keys. Very creative.
