I don’t know what the hell 10.1ch is nor ever heard about it before, but it sure sounds very impressive. Apart from that, this audio / video system comes with a pyramid-shaped DVD/amplifier, a set of stereo speakers, a USB Host port, and a HDMI port. To make it more futuristic, the company uses Touch Sensor system to replace the buttons.

Onkyo Japan has just announced a cool and stylish sound system called the CBX-Z1. Interestingly, this CD player features an excellence 8 cms wide speaker with Aero Acoustic Drive that promised high quality output. Measures 435 x 232 x 138 mm and weighs 4.3kg, it is equipped with a stereo mini input that allows users to connect other audio sources to the unit. Moreover, its amplifier delivers an output of 5Wx2ch and playback frequency of 50Hz – 20kHz.

Other remarkable feature of CBX-Z1 Sound System is its built-in iPod dock. One can simply placed their iPod to the dock and it will play the music stored inside. Playback functions, such as On / Off and Play / Pause, can be executed from the provided remote control. Unfortunately, apart from the iPod, it only supports standard audio CD.

According to the company, the CBX-Z1 Aero Sound System will hit the market starting from November 30th in Japan with a retail price between $335 to $420 (or 40,000 to 50,000 Yen).

A standard PC with an exlusive sound card… But I guess if you mostly use your computer for multimedia task (ie: listen to music, watch DVD, etc), this PC could be a great deal.

Thanks to the voice-enhancement technology that raises hard to hear words above the program’s background sound so they’ll stand out. Technically, a microchip in the headset dampens sounds below 100 Hz (where background sound exists) and increases the volume of sound above 1000 Hz (where speech frequencies begin). The maximum volume of the TV Ears itself is 120 dB – almost three times that of other headsets.

There are integrated control for the volume, tone, and balance so you can fully control the output to match your hearing requirements. The device works on all TVs, VCRs, DVDs, video games and stereo systems.

TV Ears sells for $149.95 and it is available at FirstStreet (one of our advertiser )

Well, if not, let me tell you. I love aquarium (with fishes).

Anyway, eventhough I really love aquarium (with fishes), I think I’d pass this Fish Tank. Designed by Sangmin Bae, it is equipped with a video capture device, flow sensor, and monitor output. The video capture and flow sensor will detect the fishes’ movement inside the tank and measuring currents caused by the fishes’ swimming patterns to create the necessary input data. It will then processed to create audio and video output.

Bae said, “Even if the fish can’t speak and express its feelings in a human way, it has an energy and communication skill in its own way. Vibration is the medium of interaction, and I chose it for its universality in the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms.“.

Well, I already feel happy and comfortable with the fishes. I just don’t want to ruin that with the confusion of seeing (and tring to understand) the graphical output on the monitor in this Fish Tank.

How many times has it happened that you miss you call on the cell phone because you cannot hear it due to the surrounding noise. Well, help may soon be at hand, for researchers have developed a phone that rings as loud as an electric drill to help you hear in noisy workplaces.

The 83 decibels phone (Noisyphone) rings as loud as an electric drill and is very effective in noisy workplaces. Researchers said that the ear-splitting ring is twice the level of a normal phone.

This apart, the phone also has a bright red flashing light that alerts users to an incoming call. The caller’s voice is also louder than on normal phones.

The makers of the Noisyphone have claimed that elderly people, who may be hard of hearing, will now never miss another call and can enjoy an audible conversation more comfortably, reports The Mirror.

Priced at 89.95 pounds, the landline phone has a one-inch wide dialling buttons and a speed-dial keypad designed to hold photographs of a family member or friend. By simply pressing one of the pictured key buttons, the user is in direct contact with that person within seconds.

The phone also has three special emergency buttons that can be programmed for numbers such as 999, an on-call doctor and a neighbour or relative.
