Opera Software yesterday announced the beta version of Opera Mini 4 a.k.a Dimension. This new version is a complete redesign of already-powerful mobile web browser, offering PC-like web browsing experience on the go. It also comes with a new zoom function which allows users to dive into the page and then snaps to the content. This feature was first introduced on Opera for Wii. Sony releases the new firmware (1.80) for its famous gaming console, Playstation 3 (PS3). What’s new in this version? Well, Sony has decided to give DLNA capabilities onto PS3, giving the console full compatibility with NAS or PC in your home network and let’s you access the media stored there. Moreover, firmware 1.80 also adds 1080p24 support for Blu-Ray movies, DVD upscaling, as well as better display for old PS2 games.

As reported before, Nokia was going to release the Internet Edition of its Nokia N80 cell phone. The new Internet Edition will have more internet application (including VoIP, Download Clients, and Lifeblog) and better support for surfing the web. Luckily, owner of Nokia N80 handset don’t have to throw away their phones. They can just download the Nokia Software Updater (link after the jump) and upgrade their phonet to Nokia N80 Internet Edition. Pretty cool, huh?

According to the announcement, the Nokia Software Updater will update your Nokia N80 to internet edition. The updater will add in the software includes Mobile Search, Internet telephony (VoIP), Downloads client and Lifeblog. Note that after updating and restoring your own data, the new Internet folder will not be visible because you will have restored the standard N80 screen layout “on top� of the N80IE software. New N80IE applications are not deleted. They are still available and can be found in the My Own folder.

All you need is a Mozilla Firefox Web Browser (get it here if you don’t have it yet). Then install Megaupload SX 3.2 extension from this site. And that’s it! This add-on will automatically simulate your location and make MegaUpload thinks that you’re coming from a country where there’s no download slot limitation set up (either Portugal or Brazil, for example). Once you have download the file you want, just turn the extension off again, so it won’t mess up with your current browsing experience.

Google has just released Mobile Google Maps for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices. By installing the software, you’ll have instant GPS on your hand. It’ll display your current location at the center of the screen and you can easily plot your travel to your preferred destination from there. Viewing snapshots of specific location from GPS satellites is also possible.

Since the software is made for WM5 OS, you can install and run Mobile Google Maps on any WM5-based devices, including BlackBerry, Palm, and most JSME handhelds.

As scheduled, Microsoft launches Windows Vista operating system and Office 2007 productivity suite to public worldwide today. Several major computer manufacturers, such as HP and Toshiba, have also started to retail their Vista-based products. Some also lets their old customers to upgrade their previous XP-powered laptops to Vista, either for free or for a discounted price.

Windows Vista OS is currently retailed in four flavours – Vista Home Basic ($199, upgrade $99, 32 bit), Vista Home Premium ($239, upgrade $159, 32 bit), Vista Business ($299, upgrade $199, 32 bit) and Windows Vista Ultimate ($399, upgrade $259, 32/64 bit). OEM version is also available with lower price than the retail package.

As for Microsoft Office 2007, there’s five different editions available, with price ranged between $149 and $679.

Bamboo Technology presents “Vault 360″, a file sharing solution for portable devices, such as mobile phone, PDA, digital audio player, and more. By using this software, users will be able to easily convert and transfer music, movies, and pictures from and to other devices. C.K. of GlovePie has successfully created the first functional Windows driver for Wiimote, Nintendo Wii’s revolutionary controller. With this driver, gamers will be able to use Wiimote to play games on their PCs. Hopefully, this ‘new way to play’ would lead to the development of new PC games utilizing the Wiimote in the future.

Sony Japan has just released the new version of PSP’s firmware, v3.0. It boasts a tight integration with the recently released PS3, such as the ability to view images and play music sotred inside the PS3’s hard drive, as well as Remote Play function which lets you replace the PS3 controller with your PSP. By upgrading to the v3.0, your PSP will be also compatible with the upcoming add-on camera. Other new feature is the Auto UMD setting which prevents a game from loading when the UMD is inserted.
