I’ve posted about the cool Asus W5Fe laptop before, way back in October. However, it lacks of detail, especially on the specs. So here goes — the 12-inch widescreen notebook features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an up to 1.5GB DDR2 main memory, an up to 160GB SATA hard drive, TV-out port, an integrated 1.3 megapixel swiveling webcam, and media card reader. Regarding connectivity options, it include a Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and 802.11a/b/g WiFI.

As mentioned before, W5Fe laptop utilizes Vista SideShow technology, thus it is equipped with an external auxiliary display (with a 1GB NAND Flash) on the LCD’s cover. This full-color SideShow display provides several useful information from the computer, such as phone numbers and addresses, without the need to fully boot up the laptop. There’s also a five-way navigator next to it, giving users a convenient way to navigate the SideShow display.

Now we only have to wait until Asus announces the detail on pricing and release date.

During CES 2007, i-Mate unveiled Momento 70 (no relation with Philips Design’s Momento Glass Ball), a digital photo frame supporting Windows Vista, including the cool Vista SideShow technology that utilizes a secondary display on the device for additional information. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD display with 800×400 resolution, WiFI connectivity, a USB port, and a 5-in-1 media card reader (SD/MMC/xD/SmartMedia/Memory Stick). And like other similar devices on the market, this photo frame can also playback music files (WMA, MP3) and has built-in clock and calendar functions.
