Sanyo recently updated its product portfolio with three brand new portable navigation system under their Gorilla series. The new GPS devices — NV-SD730DT, NV-SB450DT, and NV-SB530DT — each featuring a nice design, VICS traffic information (except SB530DT model), built-in 1Seg TV tuner that brings your favourite TV programme on the road, LED backlight display, and ECO mode that warns you when you’re driving too fast. Officially announced in Tokyo couple days ago, all of these PNDs also boast an 8GB of SSD (Solid State Disk) storage. Regarding screen size, SD730DT comes with 7-inch display, while both SB450DT and SB530DT have 5.2-inch display. Interested?

Sanyo is going to release its latest portable navigation system, NV-BD600DT, on October 21st. This satnav device offers a large 5.8-inch touchscreen display, a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Drive) for storing maps data and media files, a built-in 1Seg TV tuner for watching your favourite TV programme on the go, a built-in FM transmitter, real-time traffic information, and support for MP3, WMA, and JPEG files. Moreover, it is also equipped with a 1W built-in speakers, a SD media card slot, and an ECO driver information function.

No words on pricing at the moment.

Measures 381 x 127 x 305mm and weighs 5kg, Sanyo PLV-Z60 HD LCD Projector features a 3LCD technology, a resolution of 720p, a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, a 2x optical zoom, and a brightness of 1,200 lumens. Moreover, the projector allows an image projection of 100-inch and is also equipped with 12-Bit digital processing IC for video decoding process, two HDMI interfaces, two component-d, S-Video, and composite connections. PLV-Z60 is scheduled to hit the store in September and retailed for €880 (about $1,274).

Scheduled to hit the store in July 18th, Sanyo NV-SD585DT is a portable navigation system that comes with a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Disk). Along with satnav capabilities, the device is packed with a host of entertainment functions. Including a 1Seg TV tuner, built-in FM transmitter, media player (MP3, WMA), and picture viewer (JPEG). You can watch the maps (and the images) on its 5.8-inch LCD and listen to the sound via its built-in 1W speaker.

Other features include a SD media card slot and ECO driver information function.

I’m currently looking for a projector for my office, but I’m not sure whether any of these two new LCD projectors from Sanyo would fit into my budget as the company hasn’t revealed any detail about their price yet. Howeve, on the specs department, both devices incorporate Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) for easy filter changes and Auto Set-Up function for automatic signal source finding. They also come with a loud 7W speaker, as well as a durable and sturdy Security Bar which lets thick security wires up to 11mm for higher security level.

As for the difference, Sanyo LP-XC55 projector has a brightness of 3,100 lumens, while LP-XC50 comes with 2,600 lumens. Both projectors will hit the Japan store starting from July 11 this year.

Sanyo officially announced “Xacti DMX-HD700″ camcorder in Japan market. Scheduled to hit the shelves on October 19th, the camera sports a 7.1 megapixel sensor, a SD/SDHC external storage, and PictBridge, a wireless direct printing function via Bluetooth. Being a full HD camcorder, it supports MPEG4 / AVC(H.264) formats, allowing users to create high quality HD movies easily, as well as enjoy the recorded movie on a HDTV via HDMI port and share them on the web. Regarding still images, the camera comes with “Face Chaser” function that automatically focus the camera to the face of the object.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 camcorder will be available in three different flavours: silver, red, and brown. Price info hasn’t been revealed though.

Sanyo has just presented a new video presentation showing off the key features of the company’s Katana DLX and Katana II cell phones. The former (picture below) is retailed for $49.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement and $50 mail-in rebate, while the latter (picture above) is priced at $129.99 with the same subscriber agreement and mail-in rebate. Both handsets are available in all Sprint retail channels.

Sanyo has just unveiled two new satnav, the NVM-4070 and NVM-4050 models. Dubbed as “Easy Street”, these GPS devices feature a 4-inch touch screen display, Bluetooth connectivity and media player supporting MP3, WMA, and WAV audio formats. They come pre-loaded with maps of U.S, Canada, and Puerto Rico. In addition, the more advance NVM-4070 unit boasts a built-in FM transmitter for music streaming, JPEG/MPEG-4 viewer, and TMC (Traffic Message Channel) receiver for real-time traffic information.

Sanyo NVM-4070 and NVM-4050 is currently available on the market with price set at $500 and $400 respectively.
