I just built a new desktop PC. Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4 motherboard + Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 processor + 4GB DDR2 RAM + Asus EAH3850 256MB graphics engine. Not a bad combination, aren’t they? I used to use Asus motherboard for my PC, but this time I’m going to give Gigabyte a try. Too bad all Radeon graphics card from Gigabyte has sold out (I have to wait for a week or two to get one ready), so I have to use Asus instead. It’s not bad actually, and I’m thinking of Crossfire’d that EAH3850 next month. Hope the graphic perfomance would highly increase.

My only disappointment is that I forgot to ask the store to replace that E8200 (2.66Ghz) with E8400 (3.00GHz) as its only $20 higher. Oh well, maybe I should just save the money and upgrade to quad-core 45nm processor two months later

Any comment on my new desktop PC?

It comes with an 8mm thick copper tube, injected with an anti-freeze gel, along with an innovative 12-pole magnet motor design which guaranteed a long-lasting efficiency. Moreover, the cooler uses both liquid and air cooling hybrid technology to improve cooling efficiency as well as keeping the sound to minimum level.

Virtual-Hideout recently wrote a review of Kingwin’s Gladiator CPU Cooler. An excerpt from the review:

Who here hasn’t wanted a water cooled CPU, but was too worried about leaks or pump failures ruining their systems? Well, I know that back in the day I wanted such a setup, but cost and lack of experience held me back. Fast forward to today, and we now have a simple, self-contained, compact, water-cooled cooler from Kingwin that attaches directly to the processor. The KWI Gladiator Hybrid Liquid Cooler uses air and water to cool a set of heatpipes that attach to a copper plate. Once again, this is done in a small, all-in-one, compact package.

They display a huge Christmas tree, 5.2 meter tall, decorated with thousand of computer processors, including the latest Core 2 Duo from Intel. One Core 2 Duo alone already fast enough to perform any CPU-sensitive tasks, so this tree is probably the world’s fastest Christmas tree!
