My only disappointment is that I forgot to ask the store to replace that E8200 (2.66Ghz) with E8400 (3.00GHz) as its only $20 higher. Oh well, maybe I should just save the money and upgrade to quad-core 45nm processor two months later

Toshiba has just started shipping SpursEngin SE1000 image processor and soon you can expect to see it in action on some PCs. Incase you didn’t know, SE1000 is the main engine of Sony Playstation 3 (PS3), the one who deliver that incredible graphics on your TV. This advanced image processor supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC/H.265 hardware encoding/decoding.

Measures 130 x 126.5 x 165mm and weighs 960 grams, Kingwin’s Gladiator Hybrid Liquid (model number: GA-10025S) is a CPU cooler that is compatible with Athlon 64 Opteron (Socket 754/939/940/AM2), Intel Pentium D/P4(LGA775), and Intel Core 2 Duo (775 Dual-Core) processors. It comes with an 8mm thick copper tube, injected with an anti-freeze gel, along with an innovative 12-pole magnet motor design which guaranteed a long-lasting efficiency. Moreover, the cooler uses both liquid and air cooling hybrid technology to improve cooling efficiency as well as keeping the sound to minimum level.

According to HKEPC, Intel is going to launch its first gaming laptop powered by the new Core 2 Extreme processor in Q2/Q3 2007. The new mobile CPU, X7800 model, features a 2.6GHz speed, a 4MB of L2 cache, and a 800MHz front-side bus. Priced at $795, This powerful processor will have 64-bit capability and can be overclocked. Furthermore, Core 2 Extreme processors will use socket P, part of Intel’s forthcoming Santa Rosa notebook platform, which is also known as Centrino Pro.

Later in Q4 2007, Intel will release Core 2 Extreme X7900 processor which has 2.8GHz speed.

Christmas is still one month away, but of course, nothing’s wrong with the early celebration. Like the big electronic store center in Akihabara Japan, for example. They display a huge Christmas tree, 5.2 meter tall, decorated with thousand of computer processors, including the latest Core 2 Duo from Intel. One Core 2 Duo alone already fast enough to perform any CPU-sensitive tasks, so this tree is probably the world’s fastest Christmas tree!

The huge multi-processor Christmas Tree will be displayed at TX Akihabara Station until December 25th.

The MC-30 from McPay is a handy portable credit/debit card payment solution. Simply connect it to your cell phone and you can process the transaction anywhere using your own mobile phone. Along with the card reader, MC-30 also includes a printer which allows you to print the receipt right away after the payment processed. Furthermore, priced at 250,000 (KRW), it measures 7.8 x 9.3 x 4.3 cm and weighs 235 grams.

According to the company, another version which support IrDA, cable smart card, and Bluetooth connectivity will be available later in December.
