Dell has just announced the arrival of Intel’s new 45nm Core 2 Duo Penryn processor onto the company’s 14.1-inch Precision M2300, 15.4-inch M4300, and 17-inch M6300 laptops. These mobile workstations are now configurable with the following processors: T8100 (2.1GHz), T8300 (2.4Ghz), T9300 (2.5GHz), and 9500 (2.6GHz). In addition, Dell Precision M6300 comes with the latest 512MB nVidia Quadro FX 3600M graphics engine, follows by the 2.8GHz Core 2 Extreme X9000 Penryn CPU very soon this year.

All of these new Penryn configurations will be retailed with the same prices as their corresponding precursors, starting from $1,379 (M2300), $1,249 (M4300), and $1,849 (M6300). In addition, you have to pay $699 if you want to add that Quadro FX 3600M onto Precision M6300 laptop.

Dell updated its product portfolio with its first 14-inch widescreen mobile workstation named “Precision M2300″. This Santa Rosa-based laptop is powered by an Intel PM965 chipset, an Intel Core 2 Duo procesor (up to 2.6GHz supported), up to 4GB of main memory with an additional 80GB HDD, an optional 32BG SSD, a 128MB nVidia Quadro FX 360M graphics engine, and up to 160GB of 7,200rpm hard drive. It is also equipped with a modular bay, a secondary 6-cell battery, 4 x USB ports, Firewire port, Serial port, and VGA output. Regarding its display, it supports up to 1440×900 resolution.

As for connectivity, this Precision M2300 mobile workstation provides 802.11n draft standard, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, integrated 56K modem, and an optional mobile broadband EVDO Rev. A module for the Verizon’s network. Moreover, weighs 5 pounds, the laptop also boasts an integrated SmartCard reader, along with Trusted Platform Module 1.2 and optional biometric fingerprint reader for enhanced security.

Dell Precision M2300 laptop is retailed for $1,439 (base configuration) after instant savings. It is available through Dell’s Small & Medium Business online store.

Dell updated its product portfolio with the new “Precision T3400″ Workstation PC. Recently introduced in Korea market, the company claimed that T3400 could deliver a desktop workstation class performance and features in a mobile form factor design. Features include an Intel Bearlake x38 chipset, supports for Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, and dual PCIe X16 2.0 graphic engines. No words on pricing though.

Dell’s latest Precision series laptop, m6300, features a 17-inch LCD display and a 256MB nVidia Quadro FX 1600M graphics engine. It is powered by Intel’s newest notebook PC’s platform, Santa Rosa, offering a high-end perfomance through an Intel Core 2 Extreme (up to 2.8GHz) processor. Customers can choose between the standard 7200rpm 200GB hard disk or opt-in for Solid State Disk (SSD) instead. The basic configuration itself offers an 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, an 80GB of hard drive, and a 1 GB of main memory for $2,070.

Dell will start shipping Precision m6300 laptop in the next two weeks.

Dell has just updated its Precision M90 laptop and added the new nVidia Quadro FX 3500M graphics engine to the configuration. According to the press release, Quadro FX 3500M features a 512MB of DDR2 memory, a 256-bit memory interface, up to 38.4GB/s memory bandwidth, up to 2GB/s pixel read back, and support for both OpenGL and DirectX. Furthermore, nVidia also claimed that Quadro FX mobile solutions features will be the same as nVidia workstation solutions for desktops, including 12-bit sub-pixel precision and full 32-bit floating point precision.

Dell Precision M90 laptop itself comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB of SATA hard drive, and a 17-inch widescreen display. It is preloaded with Microsoft Windows XP Profession operating system with the option to later upgrade to Windows Vista Business for just $10. The lowest configuration on the series is retailed for $3,053.

Measures 394 x 42 x 288 mm and weighs 3.9kg, Dell doesn’t forget to secure this laptop. There’s a built-in Smart Card reader requires both a card and a password for the operating system to boot up. Additionally, users will get an added security of a standard slot for locks, support for TPM 1.2, compatibility with leading security software and optional laptop tracking software. All of them will not just protect the laptop from the thieves, but also from hackers and malicious viruses and worms that can dangered the notebook.
