Korean-based company Nurian recently unveiled its latest product, the X40Kris Premium Pocket Dictionary. At just 21.3mm thick, this portable gorgeous-looking learning device offers over 79 pre-installed dictionaries, including English proficiency volumes and tests. Retailed for 379,000 Won (about €200, $256 USD), it features a 4.3-inch LCD screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, MP3 player, e-book reader, picture viewer, flash viewer, and movie (XVid) player. The device even comes with some pre-installed games, so you can freshen your mind if you get bored with your study. Interested?

If you own a video blog, you might want to carry this little, lightweight pocket video camcorder with you — Vado. Showcased by Creative during IFA 2008 in Germany, the device is so compact that it can esily fit your shirt purse. It weighs less than 90g too, you won’t even feel it when you slip it on your pocket. Inside the Vado, one can find a 2GB of built-in memory, along with a removable, rechargeable battery. On the outside, a nice silver or hot pink case would greet you.

Now this is what we all need to make a fun study — a PMP dictionary-combo Udea Discovery 250. Recently introduced to the Korea market, this JCHyun creation can teach you four different languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese) in 32 different kinds of dictionaries. To make it more intuitive, the device provides an authentic native-speaker voice on search results from the contents in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

The rest of the features are a touchscreen display with handwriting recognition, multimedia playback, photo viewer, e-book reader, voice recorder, and camera. The price tag is set at 170,000 Won or about $165. Note that another version is available, Udea Discovery 200, which doesn’t come with Japanese dictionary and retailed for 149,000 Won (about $137).

Recently released in Korea, the pocket learning device offers a media player for both audio and video, built-in FM radio tuner, voice recording capability, built-in T-DMB receiver with TV-out port, USB interface, and SD media card slot. Users can also browse the web via WIFI and transfer data using Bluetooth.

JCHyun Udea Expert 300 Electronic Dictionary is retailed with a price tag of 418,000 Won or about $418.

iRiver D5 Pocket Dictionary finally hits Japan market. Available in three flavours — white, pink, and black — the education device features a 3-inch 480×272 display, a built-in FM radio tuner, voice recorder, MPEG-4 video player, and MP3 audio player. Two versions are ready to purchase, one with 2GB onboard storage and other with 4GB. Price is set at €245 ($378) and €276 ($426) respectively.

Measures 87 x 129 x 32mm and weighs 295 grams, “CN-MP50D” is the new GPS navigation device from Panasonic. Dubbed “Strada Pocket”, this satnav features a LED backlit LCD display, a built-in 1.5w speaker, a SD media card slot, and an integrated 1Seg TV tuner. In addition, its battery offers up to 4 hours of navigation and up to two hours of 1Seg entertainment. According to the company, the device will be released on February 12th in Japan market with a price tag of 70,000 Yen (about $651.5). The retail package will be bundled with a 2GB SD card fully-loaded with maps data (supposedly Japan).

iRiver recently announced D27, its latest e-dictionary. Weighs at just 315 grams, it comes with four different language dictionaries: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and English. Of course, like many others pocket dictionary nowadays, this one can also entertain you with its audio playback capability (supporting MP3, WMA, ASG, and OGG), photo viewer, e-book reader, and even FM radio tuner. Not bad.

Verizon Wireless will start offering Samsung’s SCH-i760 Pocket PC phone on November 2nd. However, customer can order this Windows Mobile 6-based handset earlier (starting from October 19th) through Verizon’s online store. The price will be set at $349.99 for a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. The phone itself sports a full QWERTY keyboard, a horizontal slider design, a touchscreen display with stylus support, and a handy touch-scrollwheel, supposedly for convenient multimedia control.

CNet Asia recently posted the first official photo for Asus P750 Pocket PC Phone, along with some detailed specs. This much anticipated mobile device will run on Windows Mobile 6 Professional operating system and will be powered by Marvell PXA27x (520Mhz) CPU, a 64MB of RAM, and a 256MB of Flash ROM. It’ll support quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, as well as tri-band UMTS/HSDPA networks, whice provides high-speed internet access (up to 3.6Mbps).

Other features include a 2.8-inch QVGA TFT LCD display, an integrated GPS receiver with A-GPS support, a 3 megapixel camera module with auto-focus, macro, and LED flash; a build-in FM radio receiver, and a mciroSD card slot for external storage. Regarding connectivity, Asus P750 cell phone comes with 802.11b/g WiFI and Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP technology) connectivity options.

According to Asus, P750 Pocket PC Phone will be release in December in Asian countries, such as Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. No words on US and Europe’s availability.
