HP Photosmart R967 Digital Camera

The PhotoSmart R967 is an upcoming 10 megapixel digital camera from HP. Planned to release in September, the digicam sports a large 3-inch LCD display with 170 degrees of viewing angle, 3x optical zoom lens, and 10x digital zoom. A 32MB of onboard memory is included. Not much, but there’s an external memory card slot, so storage won’t be a problem. Like most other digital cameras, the R967 can create movie too. With its video (and voice) recording function, you can have your own home-video with VGA quality at 24 fps.

Like the Photosmart R927 model, this R967 digital camera is also equipped with HP Real Life technology which include HP In-Camera Red-Eye Removal, In-Camera Panorama Stichitng, Improved Image Advice, Adaptive LIghting Bracketing, and HP Design Gallery; a bunch of shooting modes such as macro multi-zone auto focus and burst mode, and integrated anti-shake mode to produce non-blurry images even in low lightening conditions.

HP Photosmart R967 digital camera is compatible with Windows (2000, XP) and Mac OS X. It will be retailed for $449.

HP PhotoSmart E427 Digital Camera

Following HP’s PhotoSmart R927 and PhotoSmart M627 digital camera, here’s the 6 megapixel PhotoSmart E427 model. Measures 95 x 24 x 55 mm and weighs about 100 grams (without batteries), this digital camera sports a 5x optical zoom and 2-inch LCD screen. Like the other two new cameras, the E427 also offers several advanced features, such as manual control options (Color, EV compensation, fast mode, image quality, ISO speed, white balance) and custom shooting modes (Action, Auto (default), Beach and Snow, Burst, Fast Shot, Landscape, Macro, Night portrait, Portrait, Self Timer, Sunset). For the serious photographers, there’s a manual control options that includes Color, EV compensation, Fast mode, image quality, ISO speed, and white balance. HP has unveiled its new member of the Photosmart digital camera, the 8.2 megapixel R927 model. Comes with 3x optical zoom and 8x digital zoom, the digital camera offers a large-and-bright 3-inch LCD display and 32MB of onboard memory with external memory card slot (not sure what kind of card supported).

Coming from HP, the PhotoSmart R725 sports a 2-inch LCD screen, 6.2 megapixel CCD sensor, 24x total zoom, 3x optical zoom, and 9x digital zoom. It comes with a nice editing / photo enhancement features, including automatic in-camera red-eye removal and HP Design Gallery. Measures 93 x 23 x 61 and weighs 130 grams (without battery), this ultra-compact digital camera will be small enough to slip into your pocket.

HP PhotoSmart R725 digital camera will be available in North America and Europe starting from April 2006. No words about the price yet.
