Sprint has just released the no-camera version of Blackberry Curve 8350i smartphone. If you rarely use your handset for taking photo, you might want to purchase this model instead of the original Curve 8350i which has 2.0 megapixel camera module since the new one is cheaper (and lighter). The rest of its specs are the same as the original though, which include a built-in GPS navigation receiver, WiFI connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, Pust-to-talk technology, full-QWERTY keypad, a 1400mAh removable battery, and Blackberry OS 4.6. The camera-less Blackberry Curve 8350i is available now on Sprint for $149.99 after a $230 discount and $100 mail-in rebate on a two-year agreement.

Verizon Wireless finally start selling HTC’s latest high-end smartphone, the HTC Touch Diamond. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the handset features a 2.76-inch touchscreen display, an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera, pre-installed Opera web browser, and microSD media card slot (up to 16GB supported). But of course, the best thing available on HTC’s Touch series is always the innovative TouchFLO 3D user interface and don’t worry, you can expect this gorgeous eye candy to be included as well on Touch Diamond. Other features include Visual Voice Mail, VZ Navigator, Mobile IM, and email.

HTC Touch Diamond smartphone can be purchased for $299.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate.

RIM showcased Blackberry Curve 8310 PDA phone during CES 2009 event in Las Vegas. Combining productivity and multimedia onto all-in-one device, Curve 8310 offers an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, enhanced GPS navigation functionality, a 320 x 240 resolution display, a full-QWERTY keyboard for convenient text messaging, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm stereo jack, and a microSD media card slot. Personally, I suggest you to get Blackberry Bold or Blackberry Touch 3G instead. I think those are much better than the Curve series…

Asus is going to release their new PDA phone with integrated GPS receiver, Asus P565. The handset is powered by an 800Mhz Marvell Tavor processor, while its satnav capability is performed by the popular SiRF Star GPS chipset. While most phone manufacturers race to deliver hi-tech PDA phone, HTC decides to go the old-fashioned way with a non-touchscreen 2.4-inch (QVGA) display and a Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS. Fortunately, HTC S740 still has a nice integrated GPS module, 3G support, WiFI, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and a 3.2 megapixel camera module. The combination between QWERTY keyboard and keypad is awesome too, making it simple to those who just want to make a quick phone call. If only S740 comes with touchscreen display and WM6.1 Pro.

Other features include a 256MB flash memory, a microSD card slot, and HTC ExtUSB (miniUSB + audiojack combo). HTC S740 PDA phone measures 116.3 x 43.4 x 16.3mm and weighs 140 grams (incl. battery).

The next generation of Samsung’s Blackjack has arrived: Samsung SCH-M840 a.k.a Ultra Messaging 2 a.k.a BlackJack III. Soon available in the middle of this month in Korea market through SK Telecom, this Windows Mobile 6 Professional-based smartphone offers a 2.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320×320, a Blackberry-style keypad, finger mouse, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with video telephony, Bluetooth connectivity, media player (MP3, MPEG4, WMV), and a microSD card slot.

Will be retailed for 600,000 Won (around $600), the phone also provides the ability to check email and browser the web via 3G, HSDPA, or 802.11b/g WiFI, as well as support for various Microsoft Office documents.

Toshiba recently announced the official release date for its brand new PDA smartphone, the Portege G810. Like its siblings, Portege G710 and G910 models, this handset is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and supports the high-speed HSDPA and HSUPA connectivities. Moreover, it also features a 2.83-inch QVGA (320×240) touchscreen display, an integrated 3 megapixel camera module, a Bluetooth v2.0, a USB 2.0 interface, WiFI, built-in FM radio tuner with RDS and GPS / A-GPS receiver, and microSD media card slot (up to 4GB supported). No words on pricing though.

HTC presents another PDA phone featuring the company’s innovative TouchFLO interface, the Touch Cruise. Displayed at Computex 2008, the sleek handset sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, an integrated 3 megapixel camera module with autofocus, a secondary VGA camera for video telephony purpose (yes, 3G is supported), and built-in GPS capabilities. Runs on GPRS/EDGE/GSM network, the phone also supports HTC Home service that provides a host of important information, including real-time weather updates and a large clock, as well as a quick application launcher and easy acces to ringtone setting.
