During its latest press conference, HP Korea unleashed the special edition HP Pavilion DV5 Gold laptop. Designed with inlay work at the intersection and bronze polished, this 15.4-inch notebook is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 platform and supports HP Protect Smart Hard Drive technology as well as HP Media Smart function. Features include a 2.00GHz Core 2 Duo P7350 processor, a 2GB of DD2 main memory, a 160GB of SATA hard drive, an nVidia GeForce 9200M GS graphics engine, a 5-in-1 media card reader, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, DVD burner, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity.

HP Pavilion DV5 Gold laptop is scheduled to hit the store in January 2009 with a price tag between 1,290,000 Won (around US$1,003) to 1,790,000 Won (around US$1,392).

One of Dell’s most powerful (and most expensive) gaming laptop, “XPS M1730“, has just got a graphical upgrade. For a $3,399, it now comes with two 512MB nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX graphics engine in SLI mode. Incase you don’t remember, the old version (which costs $700 less) is packed with dual 256MB GeForce 8700M GT instead. According to the company’s perfomance team, this upgrade delivers about 49% perfomance increase (13,500 score in 3Dmark06 benchmark) over its predecessor.

The new XPS M1730 premium gaming laptop will hit the store in February 20th. Customers who previously purchased the 8700M GT version will soon be able to upgrade onto 8800M GTX.

HP Korea updated its product portfolio with the new “Pavilion HDX 9000″ laptop. This 20.1-inch ultra-wide notebook PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 XT graphics engine, a 4GB of main memory, and a 400GB of hard drive. Wow, such a powerful machine, huh? There are also a HD-DVD drive, built-in TV tuner with HD video recording capability (don’t worry, the display supports 1080p HD resolution as well), Media Center remote control, and keyboard deck for enhanced multimedia experience. But wait, the most attractive feature is the two hinges that move independently to control tilt and angle as users want. Cool babe!

Another new product announced by HP during its press event for new consumer product launch in Singapore, the Pavilion Elite m9000 Desktop PC. This high-end computer is packed with high-end technology, including Intel Core 2 Quad processor, Blue-Laser combo drive capable of playing both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD media, and built-in WiFI connectivity. Moreover, with pre-installed Windows Vista Ultimate operating system, it also offers an nVidia graphics engine, a 15-in-1 digital media reader, support for HP personal and pocket media drive, and ability to schedule automatic or instant disc backup via the provided HP Easy Backup button.

Along with Pavilion Elite m9000 Desktop PC, HP also announced the release of Pavilion dv2600 laptop and iPaq 312 Travel Companion.

At the recent press event for new consumer product launch in Singapore, HP announced its new Pavilion laptop, the 14-inch “Pavilion dv2600″ model. This special edition notebook PC sports HP imprint finish “Verve” that is etched with a vibrant pattern accross its high-gloss black cover. Features include a BrightView display, a HP QuickPlay function, touch-sensitive media control panel, built-in webcam, and built-in microphone.

Remember that HP Korea is going to release the special edition of its Pavilion dv6500 laptop? Well, here they are, the dv6537TX and dv6536TX models. Both boasts a high-glossy ceramic finish and pure white color. The retail price is set between 1,490,000(KRW) to 1,590,000(KRW).

HP Japan presents the special edition of HP’s Pavilion dv6500 laptop which features a snow design on its case. Called “Pavilion dv6500 CT Special Edition”, the machine will be available in a limited quantity (1,000 units). The specs isn’ t much different than the original version, such as Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, Intel GM965 Express chipset, and display with 1280×800 resolution.

HP Korea recently launched “Pavilion SlimLine s3000″ Media Center PC in Korea market. Runs on Windows Vista Home Premium Edition operating system, the black and silver-colored computer is powered by an Intel Pentium E2140 (1.6GHz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 160GB of 7,200rpm SATA hard drive, and an nVidia GeForce 7300LE graphics engine. Moreover, it is equipped with SuperMulti DVD Burner and features an intuitive user interface and ergonomic design. No words on pricing though.

And finally, here’s the third HP Pavilion series laptop which incorporated Intel’s new Santa Rosa platform, the Pavilion dv6500t. Most of its specs aren’t different than the Pavilion dv9500t and dv2500t models, such as GM965 chipset, Intel GMA X3100, Merom T7100 or T7300 CPU, up to 4GB of DDR2 main memory, and a variety of connectivity and input/output ports. Uses can also choose between a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, DVD burner, or LightScribe DVD burner.

On to the differences, Pavilion dv6500t laptop weighs approx. 6.14lbs and features a 15.4-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1280×800 and up to 200GB of 4,200rpm SATA hard drive. It has a price tag of $949 (base configuration) and also comes with HP Imprint Finish “Radiance” coating and Microsoft Windows Vista OS.

Now here’s the second Santa Rosa laptop announced by HP yesterday, the Pavilion dv2500t model. This notebook PC has a 14.1-inch widescreen display supported by an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 chipset allowing up to 1280×800 resolution. Inside the hood, one can find either the latest Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) or T7300 (2.0GHz) processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM (expandable up to 4GB), and up to 160GB of SATA HDD at 5,400rpm.

Moving to the outside, there are three USB ports, Firewire port, VGA and S-Video out, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an ExpressCard slot and ExpressCard TV tuner, fingerprint reader, Lactec Lansing stereo speaker, and a webcam module (optional). As for the media drive, users can opt-in for either a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, a standard DVD burner, or one with LightScribe technology for inscribing labels onto DVD media.

Connectivity options aren’t much different than Pavilion dv9500t model. From WiFI (802.11a/b/g and optional 802.11n), Ethernet LAN, 56K modem, to Bluetooth and broadband. This laptop weighs 5.3lbs and comes with the new HP Imprint Finish “Radiance” coating along with Windows Vista OS pre-installed.

HP Pavilion dv2500 laptop is retailed for $999 (base configuration).
