Asus “Handwriting Pad” is a USB tablet for the popular Eee PC (looks like the company is getting serious to raise this baby). Showcased during Computex 2008, the pad allows to input text directly by using its pen. Measures 110 x 113 x 18mm, the pad is able to recognize the following text: english, chinese, alphabet, numeric, and symbol.

“Bamboo Fun” is the latest tablet pad from Wacom. Recently released in Korea market, this design pad comes with an electronic pad and a wireless mouse. It aimed at general users and amateur photographer customers who want to create digital content easily, such as picture, painting, sketch, etc. Available in two colors (black and white), the Bamboo Fun Tablet is retailed for 108,000 (KRW) (small-sized version) and 179,000 (middle-sized version).

DT Research Presents Web DT366 Tablet PC

Computex 2006 exhibition is already over, but that doesn’t mean I have to stop posting about it. There are still a lot of great products displayed at the event that I want to post here. And here’s a good example – the Web DT366 Tablet PC (or Web Pad) from DT Research. Its nice and stylis design housed an AMD Geode LX800 @ 0.9W processor (fyi, this product is displayed at AMD’s booth), 64MB of Flash Memory and 256MB of RAM, as well as the trio standard connectivity options – WiFI, Ethernet, and Bluetooth. Measures 7.9 x 9.6 x 0.8 inches and weighs 0.86 kg, Web DT366 also carries a 8.4-inch TFT LCD touch screen display with 800×600 SVGA resolution and on-screen soft keyboard support, CompactFlash memory card slot, PC Card slot, USB port, and four dedicated navigation button.

Operates under Windows Embedded or Windows XP OS, DT Research’s Web DT366 Tablet PC is compatible with most Windows CE and Windows XP applications. It comes with pre-installed Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player and provides support to Java Virtual Machine, Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, and Macromedia Flash.

The Most Expensive Mouse Pad

For those who have too much money and don’t know where else to spend it, here’s my suggestion – get this official Formula 1 mouse pad. It’s not just a usual mouse pad since this carbon mouse is hand-crafted and designed with 3D modelling software. The backside is made of Italian black suede while there’s a F1 logo on the front. But that’s not important. The most important thing is, this standard-sized mouse pad costs you almost $500 (or £260 to be precise)! And for that much money you waste, you’ll receive a package of mat, wrapped in F1 tissue paper and presented in a luxury matt black box subtly highlighted with the F1 Formula 1 logo.

Hello Kitty Mouse and Pad

It’s been a while isn’t it? So I guess it’s time for another Hello Kitty gadgets. Hoorayyyy!!! Not really special though, this time it’s just a mouse and the pad as well. The pad comes in a form of the head of this cat, including its pink ribbon. For the mouse, it has pink color and Hello Kitty image drawn on its plate. Really cute though. And since it’s near Valentine and pink color is related to romance, I think it would be an interesting unique gift for your girlfriend.

Priced at just $9.99, the Hello Kitty Mouse and Pad comes with a scroll wheel and said can be used with PlayStation 2 as well. Cool.
