Who doesn’t know TextLinkAds (TLA)? Many webmasters, especially one with high-traffic websites, are part of this growing text link selling service. The good news, just a few days ago, the cool folks behind TLA launched another service, called ReviewMe. And as expected, it only takes a couple hours for the webmasters to flock into this new blog publisher network in town.

So How Does It Work

If you’re already familiar with PaidPerPost service, you won’t have much problem understanding ReviewMe as both have almost similar concept. Well, to make a long story short, ReviewMe is a bridge between advertisers and publishers (read: blog owners) where the advertisers can “buy” review from publishers for specific product, website, etc. They choose one or more blogs from the blog inventory list which already divided into category, and once the payment is done, the blog owner is notified about the new order.

Each review must be made within specific time frame, which is 48 hours, and contains at least 200 words. Critism is alright, but obviously, no negative review allowed. But don’t worry, publishers have the right to reject the order, so you don’t have to write about something that you don’t really understand or you don’t like. Me for example, I won’t accept any review for women underwear…

Benefit for Advertisers

Of course, the buzz. Buzz marketing always works, especially when buying a review from an active high-traffic blog. The fee can hurt the budget, but the result is worthed the money. In addition, an extra natural one-way backlink might a little bit improve your SERP.

And for Publishers…

It’s all about the money. Like TLA, publishers get half of the review fee. The $250 minimum payout sounds a little high to climb, but publishers could get at least $10 per order, depend on the quality of their blogs (PR, Alexa rank, Feed subscribers, etc). I already saw one blog that lucky enough to be priced $500 per review, which means, the owner can reach the payout in one single review.

Final Words

While ReviewMe brings another income source for blog owners, I’m not sure whether all bloggers could get the benefit out of it. Advertisers might prefer an active blog with lots of subscribers, and that would left those unlucky inactive blogs away, even if they do have more traffic. However, I might be wrong, so if you’re a blog owner and you haven’t join ReviewMe yet, stop reading and sign up ReviewMe now

Someone from the AdSense-Id forum, the Indonesian online community for Google AdSense publishers, posted the perfomance list of different Google AdSense color theme / template. An interesting note, the top four color template which bring the most CTR have a white background. But of course, you can’t depend on this list, since it’s still depend on your site design.

AdSense color template perfomance list below (sorry, screenshot, too lazy to rewrite it :p ):

If you want to give them a try, I think the easiest way is using AdSense color template rotation feature from Google. So you can see the result from different AdSense color template (up to four template) at once.
