One more new digital camera from Olympus. Under its μ (read: miu) series, this one is the “μ1030SW” model. It comes with a 10 megapixel CCD sensor and a strong resistant compact body that can survive accidental drop (up to 2m of height), heavy pressure (up to 100kg weight), and underwater (down to 10 metres). Could be an ideal camera for people who wander a lot outdoor.

Claimed as the world’s first digital camera with 20x optical zoom lens, the 10-megapixel “Camedia SP-570UZ” from Olympus sports a 5x digital zoom, a 26mm ~ 520mm ultra-wide angle, an up to ISO6400 ISO range, a 2.7-inch 230K-colors LCD, and a 45MB of onboard storage. It incorporated Olympus’ proprietary “TruePic III” image processing engine and supports AVI video recording at 640×480 @ 30fps as well.

Measures 118.5 x 87.5 x 84mm and weighs 445 grams, Olympus Camedia SP-570UZ digital camera only used 4 AA batteries to juice itself up.

Here’s the new digital camera from Olympus,”FE-220D”. Measures 92 x 22 x 55mm and weighs 122 grams, this compact camera sports a 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 6.5MB onboard memory, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor, and macro mode. No words on pricing and availability unfortunately.

Olympus Korea recently updated its digital camera’s line-up by releasing the new easy-to-use “μ 820″ model. This 8MP compact digital camera sports a 5x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD display, up to 1600×1200 photo resolution, and digital image stabilization capability via a built-in gyro sensor that works by tracking camera’s movement and shutter speed to reduce the blur. It also boasts “Perfect Show Preview”, an innovative function that allows users to preview and select various effects on a multi-frame window on the display, so they can see the effect of their changes before taking the picture.

Olympus is going to display its new μ780 digital camera during PIE (Photo Imagine Expo) in Japan. This digicam features a 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, up to ISO 1600, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 15MB of onboard memory, a 2.5-inch colors TFT LcD, and a video recording capability at 30fps in VGA resolution. According to the photos, the camera seems to be available in various color variants.

Olympus presents two new dictaphones under its Voice-Trek range, the V-61 and V-51 models. The Voice-Trek V-51 comes with 1GB of internal memory and allows up to 55 hours and 45 minutes of recording in LP mode, while the V-61 has twice of storage and let’s you record over 277 hours and 35 minutes of audio. Wonderful, isn’t it?

Measures 94.8 x 38. x 11 mm and weighs 47 grams, these two Voice-Trek dictaphones support MP3 and WMA audio formats and can be connected to either PC or Mac computer via USB 2.0 port.

Olympus has just announced the brand new Mju 780 (aka Stylus 780). This 7.1 megapixel digital camera sports a 5x optical zoom which is equivalent to 36~180mm on a 35mm camera, up to ISO 1600, CCD-shift stabilization, and “Shadow Adjustment” technology. Comes in either cool silver or black metal body, this weatherproof camera also features a 2.5-inch HyperCrystal LCD display, a BrightCapture technology for taking either still image or video in the dark with clear and high quality, over 20 scene modes (such as Portrait, Sports, and Night Scene), xD card slot, Hi-Speed USB connectivity, and multi-language support.

Scheduled to hit the store later next month, Olympus Mju 780 digital camera will be bundled with Olympus Master software, LI-42B battery, and LI-40C charger. No words on pricing though.

Olympus announces two new D-SLR cameras under EVOLT range, the EVOLT E-510 and E-410 models. Both professional digicams offer 10 megapixel LiveMOS sensor and TruePic III image processor for enhanced image quality. No words on detail specs, except that the E-510 model will have an additional image stabilizer function and support for both CF and xD media cards. Price and availability are still a mistery either.

SP-550UZ is the latest digital camera from Olympus. Measures 116 x 78 x 78.5mm and weighs 365 grams, it features a 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, an 18x optical zoom lens, a 21MB of onboard memory with xD card slot for additional storage, up to ISO5000 (3Mpix for ISO5000), and VGA video recording at 30fps. Photos are stored in RAW and JPEG formats (3072 x 2304 resolution max).

If you’re a podcaster, or at least a podcaster wanna-be, you need a handy pocket voice recorder like the Olympus DS-50. Of course, most MP3 players nowadays, including iPod, already have that kind of feature, however, most of all are don’t have a good recording quality. But that’s not all. What make the DS-50 a must have is that it has a voice-activated super-sensitive sensor which can naturally eliminate background noises. The microphone is detachable as well. All of the voice will be recorded directly onto its built-in 1GB hard drive which is enough for hours of interview. Finally, with the provided USB connectivity, you can simply plug the recorder onto your computer’s USB port and transfer the recording there.

Also comes with built-in music player (MP3 and WMA), Olympus DS-50 Handheld Recorder is powered by an AAA battery which provides up to 275 hours of recording time. The price is rather high though, $485 each.
