My girlfriend would probably hate this news. It’s just less than 2 months since she bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone and now Nokia already makes a plan to upgrade the widely-popular handset with a capacitive touchscreen. 5800 currently uses resistive touchscreen technology which requires finger’s or stylus’ pressure to control the phone. Once the company incorporates capacitive touchscreen technology, users would enjoy more convenient navigation experience, just like those who use Apple iPhone, LG Arena, or Samsung Omnia. Nokia itself has prepared around 2 million of upgraded 5800 to be shipped between May and June this year. Not sure whether this ugprade will affect its price or not…

One of the product showcased by Nokia on its booth at CTIA Wireless 2009 is Nokia E75 cell phone. Aimed at business professionals, the slide-out QWERTY handset sports Nokia Messaging service, web browsing, Nokia Maps, and support for N-Gage games. The design looks strange, if not weird, though. I prefer the ‘normal’ E-series design, like those on E61 and E70 models… Other features include a 2.4-inch display, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 interface, MTP (Multimedia Transfer Protocol) support, PictBridge function, music player, offline mode, WiFI, HSDPA, and 50MB of internal memory with microSD media card slot (4GB card is included, up to 16GB card supported). Measures 111.8 x 50/80 x 14.4mm and weighs 139 grams, E75 phone runs on quad-band GSM and tri-band WCDMA networks.

Nokia is going to officially announce its first touchscreen handset next week. Nokia 5800 a.k.a Nokia Tube has created some buzz in the last few weeks and we’re definitely looking forward for the company’s press release to figure out what exactly inside this cell phone. We only hope that the price won’t be as high as other similar handsets, such as iPhone 3G…

Along with N85, Nokia also officially announced the launch N79 cell phone in UK. Comes in a fresh green color, this candybar handset offers three smart covers on the bundle, along with the ability to change its theme to match the cover. Nice.

Being the successor of N78, the phone sports a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optic lens, geotagging function, and dual LED-flash. Imagine what a wonderful photo you can take, huh. Once you take the shot and store the pic inside its 4GB microSD card, you can share it with your friends via Bluetooth. Not just the photo, you could even share the music on the car radio, thanks to the available FM transmitter module.

Other features include direct access to Nokia Music Store, up to 24 hours of music playback with dedicated music keys and 35mm earphone jack for non-stop music on your ears, and built-in GPS navigation with Nokia Maps 2.0.

Nokia N79 cell phone is expected to be available in UK market next month.

Nokia officially announced the release of the new N85 cell phone in UK on Monday. The handset will run on S60 3rd edition platform and provides HSDPA, WiFI, and Bluetooth connectivity, along with an integrated GPS receiver and built-in FM transmitter. Its navigation function will be supported by Nokia Maps 2.0 software and users can also geotagged their snapped photos to remind them where the picture was taken. The camera itself has a 5 megapixel sensor and video recording capability.

Nokia N85 comes with a nice 2.6-inch AM OLED with a resolution of 240 x 320 (QVGA) and up to 16M colors. With the nature of NGage game support on Nokia N-Series handset, the phone also offers a dedicated gaming keys on the front, along with 10 pre-loaded demo titles and one free licensed game.

Other features include a direct access to Nokia Music Store, a 3.5mm headset connector, a dedicated music keys, an 8GB of microSD card, and up to 28 hours of music playback.

Nokia N85 cell phone is scheduled to hit the UK store next month.

The upcoming handset from Nokia has just leaked on the internet, the Nokia 8208. Being the company’s first non-N series phone that comes with two-way slider, users can find the phone’s multimedia control buttons when they slid the display downwards. The phone itself boasts an integrated 3 megapixel camera module, an A-GPS receiver, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an EvDo Rev. A connectivity.

No further detail on when Nokia will release 8208 phone to public.

Nokia N95 cell phone has just received another luxury upgrade. Previously, Alexander Amouse made over it with over 325 diamonds and 18 carat of solid white gold. Now, Continental Mobiles extends the handset glorious era with up to 4.42 carats of naturally-mined diamonds and an unblemished Sterling silver front panel. All for $19,813 (about £10,000). Nokia introduced its new flip phone that comes with a nice name, the Nokia 7510 Supernova. Interestingly, this clamshell handset also has a built-in A-GPS receiver, allowing the phone to guide you out of the traffic jam. It uses Nokia Maps 1.2 software for maps navigation, routing, and local search. Moreover, it provides an advanced 2 megapixel camera module that boasts a NIPS, LED flash, and 4x digital zoom capabilities.

Other features include a large 2.2-inch QVGA display, FM radio tuner, MP3 player, and a fancy light effects on the outer shell. Four different flavours of the phone are available: storm blue, red, emerald green, and espresso brown.

Nokia 7510 Supernova cell phone is scheduled to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2008. When it releases, you can purchase the handset at an affordable 180 EUR rate.

Nokia does it again. Once again, they mix the highly-popular elegant Nokia 8800 cell phone with diamond. But this time, instead of the Sirocco version, the original one gets the bling-bling. Heck, it even more expensive than the previous one. Before, you “only” need to dig $3,450 out of your pocket for the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Diamond. But this time, you have to spend over $6000 for the diamond-engraved handset!

Nokia 8800 Diamond-edition cell phone is designed by Norwegian jeweler named Thomas Heyerdahl. Only 112 units will be produce worldwide, so if you really eager to have one, check out Nokia distributors and Heyerdahly stores in Canada next month.

The handset itself features a 2.0-inch QVGA display, an integrated 3.2MP camera module with autofocus, a 1GB onboard storage, and 3G connectivity.

Users would be able to access free maps from Nokia and figure out where they are right now. However, you have to subscribe to Nokia service if you want to enjoy the turn-by-turn and voice guidance navigation functions.

Nokia N78 cell phone is scheduled to hit the Europe market in the second quarter of 2008 with a price tag of around €350.
