Along with the new ValueStar all-in-one PC, NEC also unleashes the new 16-inch LaVie L series laptop which sports a track pad that interestingly can transform itself into a numeric pad (picture after the jump). An innovative idea we think, it’ll help a lot when we need to entry a lot of data number. Beside that, the notebook features a full HD resolution, Blu-Ray drive, an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, a 4GB of DDR3 main memory, a 320GB of hard disk, and HDMI out port. There’s also another model with 15-inch display and 1280 x 800 resolution.

This morning NEC introduces two new all-in-one desktop PC series, the ValueStar N and ValueStar W. The former, ValueStar N, is powered by a 2.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 processor, a 4GB of main memory, a 1TB of hard drive, an nVidia GeForce 9400 graphics engine, Blu-Ray drive, a digital TV tuner, and a 21.5-inch full HD LCD monitor. If you don’t need a monitor that big, you can get the alternative configuration with a 19-inch (1440 x 900 resolution) monitor, 500GB of HDD, and a DVD Super Multi drive. As for the ValueStar W series, it boasts an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor, a 4GB of RAM, digital TV tuner, 1TB of storage, Blu-Ray drive, a 22-inch display with a resolution of 1680 x 1050, and an interesting water cooling system that keeps the high heat away. No words on pricing unfortunately.

Weighs at just 2.5kg, the Seguente Express5800/51Ma is a compact mini PC from NEC. Measures 195 x 181 x 93mm, it comes with an Intel Celeron 550 processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, and a pre-installed Windows Vista Business operating system. Not sure why the company decided to put Vista on such a low-level configuration, but if I were you, I’ll take the second set of specs instead — Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB of HDD, Windows Vista Business OS, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. Note that this tiny desktop is not just small, it is also quite as well with a noise level of just 22dB.

Alright… here goes another new Hello Kitty-stuff and another new NEC LaVie series notebook… the NEC LaVie G Hello Kitty Courrèges Edition Laptop. Created based on the popular LaVie N series, this 13.3-inch (1280×800) cutie machine sports a 1.90Ghz AMD X2 Dual Core processor, an ATI Radeon 3100 graphics engine, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of SATA hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti burner, WiFI connectivity, a 1.98MP webcam module, and a multi-card reader. In addition, its cover is pimped by Hello Kitty’s face and Courrèges’ logo.

If interested, the price should be no less than €1000 or about $1,349.

Note that this isn’t the first Hello Kitty laptop from NEC. Previously, the Japan-based company has released another version of LaVie G notebook. But instead of Courrèges, the machine is bling-bling’d by over 299 Austria’s Swarovski Crystals.

NEC is joining the mini laptop’s euphoria with the new 8.9-inch LaVie Light Netbook. Powered by a 1.60Ghz Intel Atom N270 processor, which is the most popular CPU for compact notebook, LaVie Light boasts a 160GB of hard drive, a 1GB of main memory, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, an SD media card slot, three USB ports, and WiFI connectivity. It measures 250 x 176.5 x 36.5mm and weighs 1.17kg.

Can it beat Asus EEE PC or MSI’s Wind in the battle? It’s up to you to decide…

NEC is going to release the new Lavie G series laptop — the Lavie G Type J. Available in black and white colors, the 1.254kg notebook boasts “The Sky Crawlers” logo, the latest anime from Mamoru Oshii (the creator of Ghost in The Shell) which has aired sinced August 2nd. Fans of the animation would definitely love this 12.1-inch machine powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, a 1.5GB of main memory, and a 120GB of hard drive. Other features include a 1280×800 display resolution and a DVD SuperMulti burner.

NEC unveiled two new network-ready video projectors, the NP905 and NP01W. Priced respectively at €1,285 ($1,999) and €835 ($1,299), both devices support Windows Vista’s Windows Network Projector functionality, thus enabling users to share information from their laptops or desktops via a wired or wireless network without the need for proprietary software. Moreover, remote desktop connection enables these projectors to connect to a networked computer remotely, allowing complete control of the remote computer with the connection of a USB mouse and keyboard directly to the projector’s USB input.

Regarding specs, NEC NP905 projector features a brightness of 3,000 lumens, a resolution of 1024×800 (XGA), a contrast ratio of 500:1, a built-in speaker, and a HDMI interface. As for the NEC NP01W, it sports a brightness of 2,000 lumens, a 1280×800 (WXGA) resolution, and a 400:1 contrast ratio. Both video projectors will be shipped in July 2008.

Runs on W-CDMA network, NEC 821 Glamorous cell phone boasts a nice drawing on the back cover, such as small hearts, starts, etc. Features include a 3-inch TFT widescreen display with a resolution of 427 x 240, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with autofocus, built-in 1Seg TV tuner, 3G connectivity, and a microSD card slot (up to 2GB).

The NEC 821N features a 3-inch (427 x 240, QVGA) TFT widescreen display, an integrated 2MP camera, 3G connectivity, a 1Seg TV tuner for watching your favourite TV programme on the go, a microSD card slot (up to 2GB supported), and support for W-CDMA network. It comes with a dedicated shortcut button for email and Yahoo! functions.

NEC has just updated its VersaPro series laptop with a new line of Type VE. Powered by a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor, this 15.1-inch notebook boasts a 1GB of main memory, an 80GB of hard drive, and a display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. Moreover, it comes with an “Eco Button” which automatically lower its energy consumption by 20% by decreasing the CPU speed and screen brightness. Obviously, this eco-friendly feature would save the battery life as well.
