Sanyo recently updated its product portfolio with three brand new portable navigation system under their Gorilla series. The new GPS devices — NV-SD730DT, NV-SB450DT, and NV-SB530DT — each featuring a nice design, VICS traffic information (except SB530DT model), built-in 1Seg TV tuner that brings your favourite TV programme on the road, LED backlight display, and ECO mode that warns you when you’re driving too fast. Officially announced in Tokyo couple days ago, all of these PNDs also boast an 8GB of SSD (Solid State Disk) storage. Regarding screen size, SD730DT comes with 7-inch display, while both SB450DT and SB530DT have 5.2-inch display. Interested?

Sony Japan announced that they are going to release their new in-car GPS navigation product, the NV-U3C. This compact device features a 4.3-inch touch screen display with QVGA resolution, a 4GB of onboard storage, and support for PetaMap data which provides valuable information and announcements on store or restaurant around you. No words on pricing, but there’s one more pic right after the jump.

FYI, most Japanese cars already come pre-installed with GPS navigation system. While in my country, it’s still rare to see one with GPS installed…

Measures 74.7 x 95.6 x 11.95mm and weighs 106 grams, MoveOn’s NVG-M1 GPS Navigation device sports a 3.5-inch QVGA display, a 2GB of onboard memory with a microSD card slot for additional maps storage, built-in media player supporting MP3, WMA, and JPG; an integrated 1Seg TV tuner, and FM transmitter. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity and support for ETC (Electronic Highway Card system) which is only available in Japan. The PNS itself is also available only in Japan with no further information on worldwide release.

Easycar, a Korea-based company, has just released Easycar T7 Plus GPS Navigation system in their home country, Korea. This 7-inch DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) navigation device runs on Rousen R2 map software and powered by a 600Mhz dual-core processor. It sports a 7-inch TFT display, an external DMB antenna, built-in media player and text/image viewer, car diary, and more. If interested, you can purchase it for 299,000 Won.

Pioneer is going to unleash four new in-dash GPS navigation — HRZ099, HRZ088, HRV022, and HRV011 models. These satnav devices feature a 40GB of hard drive, a 7-inch display, a built-in 1-seg TV tuner, CD/DVD player, and media player supporting WMA, MP3, AAC, and DivX formats. All o them are also compatible with Apple’s iPod.

A closer look, HRZ099 (picture above) has a resolution of 800×480, while the rest comes with 480×234 resolution. Also, the HRZ099 and HRZ088 GPS are equipped with a built-in amplifier providing a maximum output of 50W x 4ch.

Garmin is going to release the Nuvi 775T GPS Navigation on October 1st with a price tag of $800. This high-end satnav device offers both North America and Europe maps data (City Navigator NT), along with lane assistance to help you drive the car more carefully, Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree calls, and live traffic information for real-time traffic jam warning via FM receiver. It is also equipped with FM transmitter, so that you can hear the voice guidance through your car’s stereo system.

Sanyo is going to release its latest portable navigation system, NV-BD600DT, on October 21st. This satnav device offers a large 5.8-inch touchscreen display, a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Drive) for storing maps data and media files, a built-in 1Seg TV tuner for watching your favourite TV programme on the go, a built-in FM transmitter, real-time traffic information, and support for MP3, WMA, and JPEG files. Moreover, it is also equipped with a 1W built-in speakers, a SD media card slot, and an ECO driver information function.

No words on pricing at the moment.

Reigncom showcased M3 GPS Navigation during IFA 2008 in Berlin. This PND offers a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320×240, a video/audio playback, photo viewer, and a 1GB of onboard storage for storing the maps data and multimedia collection. Unfortunately, that’s all we have about M3 — no detail specs, no pricing, no availability date.

Priced at 500,000 Won (about $450), Fine Digital’s FineDrive GT is compact GPS navigation system with built-in PMP capabilities. Already released in Korea market, the device features a 4.3-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 (WVGA) and Da-Vinci DM6446 graphics chipset that is able to upscale video to 1280 pixels resolution, either 30GB or 60GB of hard drive, a digital T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Media Broadcast) TV tuner, and support for a wide-range of media formats (WAV, WMA, OGG, AC3, AAC, FLAC, APE, MKA, AVI, MPG, WMV, ASF, DAT, VOB, MP4, TS, MKV, JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF, PNG, TXT, DOC, XLS, PPT, PDF, HWP, GUL, HTML, SWF, DMF). You can also open your office documents, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, so you don’t forget your jobs after watching your favourite TV programme.

FineDrive GT’s navigation capabilities itself is supported by Atlan, which provides split screen function, along with 3D building rendering and ive traffic info receiver.

Along with Navigon 1200 and 1210, Navigon also unveils the new Navigon 2200 and 2210 GPS Navigations during IFA 2008 in Germany. Both powered by a 375Mhz processor, a 512MB ROM, and a 64MB RAM. They come with support for NAVIGON Fresh online service, which allows users to upgrade their device with additional features and latest maps data updates. Users can also subscribe to NAVIGON FreshMaps for €99 (2 year), thus letting them to receive the recent Navteq maps every three months.

Navigon 2200, with Germany, Austria, and Switzerland maps, is retailed for €149 ($213), whilethe Navigon 2210 can be purchased for €179 ($257).
