It is a blog that offers content from several areas, including music, technology, and sports.

The service is difficult define because it’s a “work in progress,” Joe Wilcox, analyst for JupiterResearch said.

“What Microsoft has done is hire bloggers who are experts in different areas, and given them free reign to write about those topics,” Wilcox said.

Features within MSN Filter include the ability to post comments, receive alerts on the desktop, phone or by email when new content is posted; and to receive updates through RSS feeds to a newsreader or the My MSN personalized homepage.

Since MSN Filter support RSS feeds, I’ve updated my Daily Reading section, and added MSN Filter (technology) into it. I also removed Yahoo!News (entertainment) from the Daily Reading.

MSN Filter is a new blog destination that has some pretty good posts about tech, music, etc (but no one knows who is posting). Since it was MSN I was assuming this would be a channel I could add to my MSN Direct SPOT Watch. SPOT is a watch that can get news, stock, weather, messages and more. Since it wasn’t an option to add MSN Filter, this calls for a HOW TO! – here’s how to get MSN filter content or any news via RSS on a SPOT watch…
