LG CNS and Intel work together to develop this handy personal health monitoring system called Doctor Touch (a.k.a Intel Health PHS5000). This in-house monitor can take an eye on your health condition and check for related problems, such as diabetes, blood pressure, and any chronic diseases. It also boasts a simple user interface, along with complete help system and demo videos.

Priced at just €370 (or about $584), GreenHouse GH-TIG243SH-LB LCD Monitor sports a 24-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA), a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a brightness of 400cd/m2. Available in Japan, this monitor is also equipped with HDMI and DVI-D inputs. Not bad, but rather expensive for a 24-inch display…

Another new lCD monitor for today. This one from a Japan-based manufacturer named GreenHouse. Called “GH-JEF223SHW”, this 22-inch display boasts a resolution of 1680×1050 (WSXGA+), a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightness of 300cd/m2, and a response time of 2ms (gray-to-gray). It also comes with HDMI port, making it possible to connect the monitor to HD-ready peripheral, including Playstation 3 and XBox 360 Elite.

NEC recently updated its MultiSync series LCD monitor with the new 30-inch MultiSync LCD3090WQXi(BK) model. This display comes with both HDMI and DVI inputs, along with a resolution of 2560×1600 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The price is a nice 1900 EUR (or about $2,823), probably too expensive if you just want to use the computer to write document or playing solitaire. But if you’re a graphic designer or hardcore gamers, then the LCD3090WQXi(BK) is for you.

IOData will soon make its new 24.1-inch LCD-AD241X widescreen LCD monitor available in Japan market. Priced at 59,800 Yen, the display boasts a 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightness of 400cd/m2, and a response time of 5ms. The company said that this monitor could improve the color representation to about 92 percent of the NTSC color standard. Sounds good.

Tomorrow or later, Dell will start selling its 30-inch 3008WFP widescreen LCD monitor in Japan market. This display, sporting DisplayPort (an industry-standard digital interface for connecting an LCD display to a computer system), will be retailed for just 228,000 Yen (about 1,395 EUR) a piece. Features include a resolution of 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA), a contrast ratio of 3000:1, a response time of 8ms, two DVI-D (HDCP) ports, 1 HDMI DisplayPort. Guess I really need one of these, my old PC’s BenQ FP71G+S LCD monitor is only 17-inch width. Heck, it is even wider than my 26-inch LG’s 26LC7R LCD TV *sigh*

G900W is BenQ’s latest 19-inch LCD monitor. It is currently available in Japan market (and other countries in the world) with a price tag of 27,800 Yen (about 170 EUR). Features include a resolution of 1440×900 (WXGA+), a D-Sub and DVI input ports, a contrast ratio of 800:1, and a response time of 5ms.

Asus is going to strengthen its LCD monitor sales by releasing the new LS201 display next week (or around the middle of the month). This 20-inch monitor has won IF Design award, so you can expect a nicely designed display with wonderful capabilities. To mention a few: a contrast ratio of 2000:1, a resolution of 1400×1050 (SXGA+), and a response time of 5ms. Suggested price is 59,000 Yen.

ViewSonic unleashed a new range of LCD monitor called “CASA” in Korea market. Currently, there are two members on this series: ViewSonic VA2026w (20-inch) and VA2226w (26-inch). However, the company promised there’d be more models follow, ranged from 17-inch up to 22-inch. All of those widescreen displays will boast DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio) technology, as well as a contrast ratio of 2000:1, a response time of 5ms, and HDCP input.
