CoolerMaster displayed “Hot Rod Modding”, its used-car concept PC case. This red-colored computer’s hood is designed by a famous Italian designer named Fabio Lenzini. Not much info on the detail, but if that big tube thing on the right (picture below) is there for aero cooling purpose, I’ll take one please.

Check out this cool Heineken PC mods! Obviously based on the famous beer brand, Heineken, this case mods comes in a green color and even has a glow-in-the-dark LED. Personally, I love the idea of hiding the CD/DVD drive behind the logo.

1. Human-Shaped Anime Case Mods

   

   As an anime-lovers, this one definitely on the first rank on my list. It’s a human-shaped anime babes case mods, made by Katsuya Matsumura. With that much anime characters, I probably won’t be able to decide which one I want to hold my motherboard, but even Kana, picture above, would satisfy me already.

2. PC-On-A-Water-Pot (Liquid PC)

   

   My mother, who spend most of her time in the garden with her plants, would probably love this, a fully-functional PC placed on a water tank, complete with a water plan. It uses cheap mineral oil as the cooler. She might skip the computer parts to me though.

3. Ford Bronco PC Case Mods

   

   It’s the winner of NewEgg’s monthly mods contest, so it IS really cool. The maker, Richard Sherman, placed a whole mini PC onto a miniature of Ford Bronco (he’s a big fans of Bronco), which include a 12.1-inch LCD monitor. Whether you’re a fans of Bronco or not, you should check this case mods.

4. Battlefield 2142 Case Mods

   

   Not the coolest in my opinion, but definitely the most extreme one on the list. Butterkneter, as a gamers, made a machine-gun-shaped cases along with military theme, inspired by one of his favourite war game, Battlefield 2142.

5. Cow Milk Jug PC Case Mods

   

   Crazy but cute. Those 3 words probably enough to describe this wonderful Milk Jug case mods. The author, a Russian modder, even included a stuffed cow doll inside the jug. Funny!

And there are a whole lot more case mods.

Yes, Alienware is currently offering a cool gaming monster specially built for this wonderful war game, Battlefield 2142. Unfortunately, this case mods, made by Butterkneter, is much more cooler than that Area-51 5500. Just take a look at the screenshot above (and below after the jump), it’s a Battlefield 2142-themed case mods! Incredible, isn’t it? Inside that machine gun-shaped case, it features an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 200GB of HDD, and a military-themed Typhoon Motion-Cam. Wow.

Having worked with EA to produce some mods to promote the previous version of Battlefield, I was keen to hook up with those guys again to do something around the new release of the game, 2142. EA asked me to put together mods of the same design, and today I’m presenting one of them to you.

That’s correct. A modder has managed to place a fully-functional PC inside a real pumpkin. As long as you don’t imagine what will happen to the motherboard when the pumpkin rots, this wonderful case mods still sounds… errr.. wonderful. The specs include an Intel Pentium M (1.6GHz) processor, a 512MB of DDR2 RAM, and a DVD/RW burner.

The source (forum) for this Milk Jug PC Case Mods is in Russian, so I don’t know the detail about this. I’ve tried to find any information about this case mods on Google, and got nothing. Instead, I got this funny “Moo Cow Moo” PC Case mods here :d

The creator, Richard Sherman, recently win NewEgg (newegg.com) monthly mods content with this Bronco mods. For the monitor screen, he used a 12.1” LCD screen, which he got from EBay for $100. For the inside, he used an old motherboard, CDROM, hard disk drive and power supply. The wheel, using RC truck tires, were bought from eBay for $35. And in the center of the Ford Bronco’s front signal turn, he added 2 USB plugins so he can plug his USB Drive easily.

For the music, he used an 1/8th inch mini stereo plug to 2 RCA plugs for hooking up to any house stereo and an FM modulator to send the audio to any radio within 1000 feet. For better perfomance, he later upgraded most of the inside part of the case. All of them, he said, were bought from NewEgg.

Richard said that he spent 14 months total to build this wonderful case mods. Now he has 2 Bronco PC Case Mods in his house, both connected to broadband internet access via router.

Now I have 2 Bronco’s that I really love and a great gaming machine in the house. I have learned a lot about what it takes to build something like this from scratch, I had never done any work with modeling clay, very little with fiberglass and no experience in computer design, but I like what I ended up with.

Now I have an eye catching PC that works great as a mobile juke box. With the integrated Keyboard, LCD screen, and wireless mouse I can go to any party to surf the net or play some tunes. I don’t need to add any speakers because with the use of the FM modulator I can just hook up to any one’s stereo system and be jamming in 2 minutes…

Katsuya Matsumura is the Japanese man who created this case mods by himself. Being an anime geek, he used to create his own anime figure. Not enough with that, he started the idea of having an anime doll as his PC case. Not the small one, but with the real women-shaped body. His first woman-shaped life-sized PC case mods, on April 2003, is Ellen (see screenshot below).

His next ‘daughters’ are Maya (image on the first part of this post) and later followed by Kana (screenshot below).

Now Katsuya accepts order for creating any shape of PC case mods, not just the human-like above. The price is vary, depend on the size an difficulty, but as a comparison, the small head-mode anime on the left – Tarutaru from Final Fantasy XI – cost around $1000 – $3000. For the maximum scale, 1:1 lifesize human model, might cost up to $6000.
