According to Park Mun-hwa, LG Electronic’s CEO of Mobile Communications Business, Shine is a combination of design, durability and ease of use. It has the big change to follow Chocolate big hit, as long as it comes with distinct marketing and strategy that capture the hearts of consumers.

Most mobile phone users are using screen guard to protect their handset’s LCD display from scratch. Now what about a screen guard that can also double as a mirror? Surely, not even from the scratch, you’d also avoid bad hair or ugly make-up. This new kind of protector is called ScreenMirror (how obvious). It’s a transparent films that produce a mirror effect when a screen’s backlight is off, but allow for clear display visibility within a 45 degree angle when the backlight is on. Any angle out of the scope will appear as black screen to protect your personal data.

The manufacturer also offers a non-screen guard option, which upon turning on the backlight, one can clearly see the display within any angle. The cool thing, both versions can be customized with your company’s logo and/or character. The price you have to pay for the ScreenMirror is just $18.99.

And yes, I’m right.

Shenzhen Xindaxin Technology Corp. has created a combination between mirror and MP3 player, DBMagic Mirror MP3 Player. Using a thin 7mm OLED colored screen, the screen will display information about the MP3 files while playing a song, including the music controller button and ID tag (see image above). If not used, you can use the screen as a mirror.

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is a light-emitting diode (LED) made of semiconducting organic polymers. These devices promise to be much cheaper to fabricate than inorganic LEDs. Varying amounts of OLEDs can be deposited in arrays on a screen using simple “printing” methods to create a graphical colour display, for use as television screens, computer displays, portable system screens, and in advertising and information board applications. OLED panels may also be used as lighting devices. OLEDs are available as distributed sources while the inorganic LEDs are point sources of light. Prior to standardization, OLED technology was also referred to as OEL or Organic Electro-Luminescence. [ source ]

I think one of its cool feature is the ability to display synchronous lyrics right on the mirror screen. This way, we can sing-a-long while combing our hair. This device also has the standard MP3 player features, such as FM radio, digital sound recording, and USB2.0 support.

Well, Phillips seemed to follow idea and develop their own mirror and television mix, MiraVision (See? Even the name almost similar, VisionMirror and MiraVision). It works just like VisionMirror. If not use, you’ll see only a mirror. But if you turn it on, you can see your favourite TV programme.

Phillips MiraVision costs £2700 for 30 inch size.

This interesting product, named VisionMirror, combine a TV with a mirror. The TV, while not turn on, will be completely hidden, so everyone else will see it as a normal mirror (and so does the thief — no more worried your TV will be stolen).

By combining a mirror with a TV, VisionMirror can put TVs into your home where you never thought you could. The encasing for the mirror TV can be totally waterproof allowing for use in wet areas such as the bathroom where normally electrical equipment such as a TV can’t be used.
