Here’s an interesting portable media player from Mio, the C810 model. Being released in Korean market, this PMP is more than just a boring video and MP3 player as it comes with a DMB receiver for watching satellite TV broadcast and even GPS for guiding you on the road. Other than the 4.3-inch colors LCD screen, I can’t find any information about this PMP yet as their website doesn’t mention this new product yet.

Previously, they’ve launched the A700 model (detail here). The new A201 offers an interesting rotating antenna that allows the device to be in either portrait or landscape orientation, while maintaining a good GPS signal reception. You can switch the screen modes simply by rotating the antenna or by tapping a button. The rotating antenna ensures that there’s no loss of GPS signal quality when the user switches between the two modes. Quite innovative.

Mio A201 GPS PDA is powered with a new 312Mhz Intel Bulverde processor and 64MB of RAM which is quite powerful for route planning and calculation. It also provides Bluetooth support for wireless file exchange, Outlook synchronisation and as part of a hands-free car kit for Bluetooth-equipped phones.

Furthermore, this GPS PDA device uses the SirfStar III GPS chipset. This chipset is already prooved to be powerful and used by many others GPS devices nowadays. It runs under Windows Mobile 5.0 and retailed for $420. It will be available soon in the middle of this month, so if you want to buy it as a Christmas gift for your friends, you can.
