MSI presents the latest Megabook laptop, the “Megabook PR210X-YA“. Powered by AMD Turion X2 processor (up to 1.9GHz), this 12-inch notebook boasts up to 3GB of main memory and up to 160GB of hard drive. The rest of the features are pretty much standard, such as DVD burner, USB, WiFI, etc.

NCDigiTech updates its product portfolio with the new “MegaBook PR200-040KR”. Yeah, not a nice name, but at least the specs isn’t as bad as its name. Check it out… an Intel 965 chipset (it’s built on Santa Rosa notebook PC platform), an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor,a 2GB of main memory, an 802.11a/b/g WiFI connectivity, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 graphics engine, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, HDMI support, and a 12.1-inch display with WXGA resolution. Definitely not bad for a 1.8kg baby!

NC Digitech, a Korean manufacturer, recently presented “MEGABOOK L745X-206K” laptop. Its product page is of course, written in Korea language, so once again, it’s time to test my funny-translation-reading skill. To start with, the notebook comes with a 17-inch LCD with a resolution of 1440×900 (WXGA) and ACV (Amazing Crytal Vision) technology that ensure clear and bright image displayed on the screen. This display is supported by a powerful 256MB nVidia GeForce 7600 graphics engine which is sufficient enough to handle those 3D games. As for the main engine, it is taken care by an Intel Core 2 Duo T2350 (1.8GHz) processor, together with a 1GB of main memory.

Other features include a 120GB of hard drive, a DVD burner, a 4-in-1 media card reader, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, DVI, S-Video, and a 9-cell 7200mAH rechargeable battery. Sounds good.

Here’s the latest laptop from MSI, MegaBook M670. This 15.4-inch notebook offers an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, Bluetooth, and 802.11 b/g WiFI connectivity. Sounds too usual, but check out its DualView dual screen function. With this feature, the machine can send the image to both the LCD screen and another external display device, such as video projectors. It also comes with built-in numeric keypad, like those on the desktop keyboard. Users who works a lot with calculation would definitely love it.

I didn’t see as many AMD’s Turion 64 X2 laptops as Intel’s Core Duo’s laptops yet. So hopefully, this Megabook MS-1058 would be a good opening chapter for AMD’s dual core processor-powered notebook’s success story. The MS-1058, developed by MSI, features either Radeon XPRESS 200M or X300SE graphics card, a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 1280×800 resolution, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, integrated Dolby Home Theater sound system, ExpressCard, and a do-it-all DVD burner. It measures 303 x 225 x 26 mm and weighs 1.9kg.
