UFO Hayashi, famous Japanese gadget artist, has redesigned the appearance of Acer’s Aspire One netbook and make it more appealing to rich people market. Offered for at least $3,000 on eBay, the compact laptop now comes with an elegant art and a whole lots of bling-bling accessories. With the current economic situation, I definitely don’t want to buy one… well actually, I don’t even want to buy the ‘normal’ Aspire One since many reviews said that it has such a crappy perfomance… I’ll stick with my Wind U100 netbook as well as its stupid WiFI receiver…

I’m a big fan of wooden gadgets (such as this wooden PC case, wooden speakers, wooden iPod dock, and wooden UFD), so I’m going to keep my eye on this sleek concept phone called Hulger’s Ziricote Luxury Wooden Phone. This slider handset offers instant access to main control buttons on the front and camera-look-a-like design while being flip over. Nice, isn’t it? Hope its journey won’t end at the concept phase like many other wonderful concept gadgets.

As the name stated, Million Dollar Laptop is one hell of expensive notebook featuring pricey materials and expensive gems. It is manufactured by Luvalgio, based company of Londan. However, no further information are currently available for this luxurious machine, so let’s hold our breath for the detail specs for now.

Weighs 1.89kg, the new iPod dock from RockridgeSound (model number: iSR-10) is very elegant and luxurious. It is covered by a case made of wood and measures 282 x 148 x 120 mm. Features include support for 2.1 audio, an alarm clock function, an AM/FM tuner, and a remote control. Regarding power source, it can use either two AAA batteries or wall outlet.

Gresso, a Russia-based company, have several new DAPs that can help reduce your savings. Those new MP3 players come with expensive and luxurious materials, making them worth between 3000 to 5000 € ($4000-$7000). One of them is packed inside African Blackwood and Gold-based case, while other has a combination between African Blackwood and pink gold design. Customers can also choose to go with full 18 carat gold and white gold or pink gold.

Regarding specs, Gresso portable MP3 players features a 1GB of onboard memory and supports various audio formats, including MP3, WMA, ASF, and OGG.

Designed by Mr. Buckingham, a famous jewelry designed, this handmade million-dollar computer is equipped with many diamonds, sappihire, 18K gold and white gold (also 18K). Every people with too much money in their pocket already know that one way to get rid of the bucks is by buying Vertu’s cell phones. This company specializes itself on luxury handset product. Take example on its newest phone, the Vertu Signature Cobra, which is designed by Boucheron, a French jeweler. Priced at a whopping $310,000, it features one pear-cut diamond,
one round white diamond, two emerald eyes, and over 439 rubies.

To customers who have low budget, Vertu also offers a “cheaper version” of the cell phone, the Signature Python. It comes with a price tag of $115,000 along with a sans ruby.

The Diamond Crypto Smartphone Project, created by an Australian jeweller named Peter Alossion, is a bling-bling luxury cell phone which is encrusted with over fifity blue diamond all around the front bezel and covered in platinum and variety of jewels. Sounds expensive? Of course. Even Jaren Goh’s Black Diamond can’t beat this handset in the price department. 150 million Yen you have to spend for Crypto, which is about $1.3M. And that’s about 450 times of my monthly income.

Worry not, the Diamond Crypto Smartphone is a fully-functional handset. Runs on Windows CE operating system, it features an integrated MP3 player, video calls, Office Viewer, email, web browsing, and JAVA support. Well, the question is, who would be stupid enough to spend million for this expensive cell phone and then carry it around the town?

Samsung’s YP-Z5 MP3 player finally gets its turn to be strucked by Midas touch. Following a number of gadgets that went gold during holiday season, Samsung, in co-op with Paul Mercer, iPod’s interface designer, now release the 18K gold edition of this digital audio player. Only 10 luxurious devices will be offered through an auction. Along with the exclusive gold-cased player with Mercer’s signature on the rear, ten lucky winners will also get a gold package box.

Auction will be started at $1. However, Samsung expects that the price of the gold YP-Z5 MP3 player will go for 120,000 Yen each.
