Three new members of Panasonic Lumix series digital cameras are now ready to make their appearance to public — Lumix DMC-FS12, Lumix DMC-FS62, and Lumix DMC-FS42 models. Let’s take a look at the specs on each model. The first one, FS12, boasts a 12 megapixel sensor, a 4x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, and a host of wonderful features, such as Intelligent Auto mode, Optical Image Stabilization, and Face Detection. As for both FS42 and FS62 models, they sport a 10 megapixel sensor, a 4x optical zoom lens, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection, and and Optical Image Stabilization (only for FS62). No words on pricing at the moment though.

Panasonic released the upgraded version of its Lumic DMC-TZ5, the Lumix DMC-TZ50 digital camera. However, the only fresh thing you would notice is the build-in WiFI support as the rest of the features are the same as the original model. Including a 3.0-inch 460K hi-res LCD screen, a 10x optical zoom lens (28-280mm/F3.3~4.9), wide angle, up to ISO6400, a 50MB of onboard memory, and HD support (you can record video in 720p HD format @ 30fps).

Other features inside this 241g DMC-TZ50 digicam are the Intelligent LCD function — detects the lighting condition and controls the brightnesslevel of the LCD in 11 fine steps — and incorporation of Venus Engine IV — Panasonic’s new high-performance image processing LSI which improves noise reduction, elevates the detection accuracy and corrective effects in both MEGA O.I.S and Intelligent ISO, and reduces the shutter release time lag.

Measures 103.3 x 59.3 x 36.5mm, Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50 is scheduled to hit the store in May. It’l be available in silver with a price tag of $449.95.

Measures 103.3 x 59.3 x 36.5mm and weighs 241 grams, Panasonic DMC-TZ5 digital camera boasts a 10.7 megapixel CCD sensor, a 10x optical zoom lens (28 ~ 280mm wide angle, F3.3 ~ 4.9), up to ISO6400, a 50MB of onboard memory, and video recording at 720p HD resolution @ 30fps. It has been released recently in Japan but no words on worldwide availability yet.

June 15th will not only be the launch date of Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-FS2 digicam, it’d also be the day when you can start seeing the new brown-colored Lumix DMC-TZ3 digital camera on the Japan market. This compact camera sports a 10x optical zoom lens, 28mm true wide-angle, a 3.0-inch LCD display with viewfinder, a 7.2 megapixel CCD sensor, and Venus 3 processing engine. The company doesn’t mention about the price on its press release, but I bet it won’t be much different than the price of the other TZ3 series digital cameras.

Want to update your Lumix DMC-FS1 digital camera? Well, starting from June 15th, you can check the nearby store for the new Lumix DMC-FS2 from Panasonic. According to the press release, this 7.2 megapixel camera will come with a 3x optical zoom lens (Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT), a 4x digital zoom, a 27MB onboard memory with SD/SDHC/MMC media card slot, and a 2.5-inch display. The still image will be saved in JPEG format, while the video will have QuickTime format.

What else you can expect from this 153g baby? Let’s see.. up to 3200 ISO sensitivity, 8-1/2 shutter speed, automatic white balance, red eye reduction, PictBridge support, and USB interface. Measures 94.1 x 24.2 x 51.4mm, Lumix DMC-FS2 digital camera is also equipped with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery (up to 350 shoot). Regarding price, no detail has been spilled by the company yet, but you can reassure that the camera will be available in three different flavours (black, silver, pink).

Panasonic has just announced the launch of its new 12.2 megapixel digital camera, Lumix DMC-FX100 model. This compact digicam boasts the ability to record movie in HD (High-Definition format) at a resolution of 1280 x 720 @ 15fps. Unfortunately, it is only equipped with a 27MB onboard memory, so users will definitely need to use SD media card for storing those fat HD video. When it comes to still image, FX100 can take photo in 4:3 mode and 16:9 widescreen mode for a whopping 4000 x 2248 image resolution.

Other features include a 2.5-inch LCD display, a 3.6x optical zoom — thanks to the newly developed 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC lens –, f/2.8 brightness, high-speed snapshot mode that capture eight photos per second at full resolution, unlimited consecutive shooting, and Intel Image Stabilisation with Mega O.I.S and Intelligent ISO Control. Weighs at just 150grams, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 digital camera is available in two colors, silver and black.
