Fujitsu yesterday announced the release of the new LifeBook series laptop, the “LifeBook V1010″. Targetted at price-aware customers, the notebook offers high-end perfomance and reliability at a low price (under $800). It is perfect for home office-based and small businesses, as well as educational segments. What you’ll get are a mix of Intel Pentium Dual Core T2130 processor, a 120GB HDD, a 15.4-inch display, Atheros Super AG(R) Wireless LAN, a dual-layer multi-format DVD burner, a spill-resistant keyboard, and either Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business edition OS. Definitely not a bad choice for a low-budget machine.

According to Paul Moore, senior director of mobile product marketing of Fujitsu Computer Systems, “The Fujitsu LifeBook V Series expands the company’s reach into price-conscious markets, which place equally high priority on reliability and price. The high-performance LifeBook V1010 notebook offers excellent value, delivering all the computing power and features these markets need with the quality Fujitsu is known for, and at a price they have been longing for.”

Fujitsu LifeBook V1010 laptop is available immediately through authorized Fujitsu channel partners and the Fujitsu website. Apart from above specs, there’s also a higher configuration with Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor and 2GB RAM as its main brain. The price is, of course, higher. $899 is how much you have to pay.
