Leica C-Lux 2 Digital Camera

Leica has just updated its line of C-Lux point-and-shoot digital camera with the release of C-Lux 2. This 7.2 megapixel camera offers a 2.5-inch colors LCD display, an ultra-short shutter delay, VARIO-ELMARIT lenses, and a 3.6x zoom. It’ll be retailed for $500 starting from May this year.

Leica M3 Mini Replica Digital Camera

Komamura, a Japan-based manufacturer, currently retails a replica of Leica M3 camera. The digital version of this vintage camera features a 5 megapixel CCD, a 32MB onboard memory, and a SD card slot for additional storage. Measures 74 x 44 x 47 mm and weighs 110 grams, it can be purchased from the market for 320 EUR.

Along with the Leica M3, Komamura also offers other mini replica of popular vintage cameras.

Leica D-Lux 2 Announced

I’m going to buy a digital camera next month (or maybe during Chrismast), and with the fact that I know almost nothing about digital camera (I even don’t know how to operate it), I guess I have to start learning from now on by blogging about it. Look, I have also added Digital Camera category :p Well, I wrote about digital camera sometime in the past, but that only because the camera has unique interesting technology, such as wifi or MP3 player.

Now into the topic. According to PhotographyBlog, Photoworkshop.com have published details about the new Leica D-Lux 2. I can’t get inside the Photoworkshop, probably it requires a registration, so I can’t read the detail myself. Fortunately, Leica’s website already provides detail informationa about D-Lux 2.

Leica D-Lux 2 is an 8.4 megapixel digital camera which also supports images in the 16:9 format. It offers a 4x optical lens equivalent to 28â€“112mm, 2.5 inch LCD screen and optical image stabilizer (OIS). The OIS technology effectively compensates for camera shake to ensure razor-sharp pictures at all times, even in the telephoto range, in low light conditions and when you take quick snapshots. According to PhotographyBlog, the Leica D-Lux 2 appears to be a rebranded version of the Panasonic DMC-LX1.

There’s no information about the pirce or availability yet, but it is rumoured to be available in November.
