Along with the new ValueStar all-in-one PC, NEC also unleashes the new 16-inch LaVie L series laptop which sports a track pad that interestingly can transform itself into a numeric pad (picture after the jump). An innovative idea we think, it’ll help a lot when we need to entry a lot of data number. Beside that, the notebook features a full HD resolution, Blu-Ray drive, an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, a 4GB of DDR3 main memory, a 320GB of hard disk, and HDMI out port. There’s also another model with 15-inch display and 1280 x 800 resolution.

Alright… here goes another new Hello Kitty-stuff and another new NEC LaVie series notebook… the NEC LaVie G Hello Kitty Courrèges Edition Laptop. Created based on the popular LaVie N series, this 13.3-inch (1280×800) cutie machine sports a 1.90Ghz AMD X2 Dual Core processor, an ATI Radeon 3100 graphics engine, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of SATA hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti burner, WiFI connectivity, a 1.98MP webcam module, and a multi-card reader. In addition, its cover is pimped by Hello Kitty’s face and Courrèges’ logo.

If interested, the price should be no less than €1000 or about $1,349.

Note that this isn’t the first Hello Kitty laptop from NEC. Previously, the Japan-based company has released another version of LaVie G notebook. But instead of Courrèges, the machine is bling-bling’d by over 299 Austria’s Swarovski Crystals.

NEC is joining the mini laptop’s euphoria with the new 8.9-inch LaVie Light Netbook. Powered by a 1.60Ghz Intel Atom N270 processor, which is the most popular CPU for compact notebook, LaVie Light boasts a 160GB of hard drive, a 1GB of main memory, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, an SD media card slot, three USB ports, and WiFI connectivity. It measures 250 x 176.5 x 36.5mm and weighs 1.17kg.

Can it beat Asus EEE PC or MSI’s Wind in the battle? It’s up to you to decide…

NEC is going to release the new Lavie G series laptop — the Lavie G Type J. Available in black and white colors, the 1.254kg notebook boasts “The Sky Crawlers” logo, the latest anime from Mamoru Oshii (the creator of Ghost in The Shell) which has aired sinced August 2nd. Fans of the animation would definitely love this 12.1-inch machine powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, a 1.5GB of main memory, and a 120GB of hard drive. Other features include a 1280×800 display resolution and a DVD SuperMulti burner.

Wireless USB is the next trend in laptop / notebook market. NEC Japan, not wanting to leave behind, jumps onto W-USB wagon and offers this wonderful feature to its brand new LaVie J laptop series. At the moment, three models are ready to hit the shelves: NEC LaVie LJ750/LH, LJ730/LG, and LJ700/LH. Each model comes with a shock-and-weight resistant body, allowing you to put up to 300kg pressure on the laptop (or a maximum of 25kg point pressure) on its 29.8mm slim body. Not bad.

Priced at €1,735 (about $2,542) NEC LaVie LJ750/LH laptop features a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 CPU, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, a 12.1-inch display with 1280×800 resolution, WiFI a/b/g/draft-n, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. LJ730/LG comes with similar specs, except the 80GB of HDD, 1GB of RAM, and no-draft N support to its WiFI connectivity. No words on pricing on this one.

Couple days ago, NEC presented the everyone-favorite cute character Hello Kitty in a bling-bling manner, the “Lavie G CRYSTALLIZED Hello Kitty Laptop”. It comes with lots of swarovksi crystals embedded, along with a nice artistic painting on its cover. Even better, if you purchase it, you’d also get a fashionable Swarovski-powered mouse and USB flash disk. On the specs department, the notebook sports an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 processor, a 15.4-inch WXGA display, a 2GB of main memory, a 120GB of hard drive, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. It is pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium edition operating system, as well as either Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office Personal 2007 applications. The former costs you 210,000 Yen, while the latter is retailed for 224,700 Yen.

NEC unleashed three new laptops yesterday, all under its LaVie sub-brand: LaVie C, LaVie L Advanced Type, and LaVie L Standard Type. Since the former is the most advanced one in the trio, let’s just talk about that machine. One of its top configuration, LaVie LC950/KC, is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz), a 1GB of main memory, a 160GB Hybrid HDD with 256MB of Flash memory, and an AMD ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics engine. The notebook is also equipped with Blu-Ray disc reader, HDMI output port, a 15.4-inch WXGA+ LCD display, and an integrated webcam that has the ability to automatically recognize and capture users camera. Upon opening the laptop, this “Face Pass” function will instantly log you onto the computer once you show your face in front of the webcam. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Once again NEC unveils a special yet limited LaVieG laptop, the Ragnarok edition. Like its LaVieG Hello Kitty, this notebook PC comes with Ragnarok’s art on its front cover. Ragnarok itself is a popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) developed by a Korean game company named GRAVITY Co., Ltd. It was first released in South Korea on 31 August 2002 for Microsoft Windows and has since been released in many other locales around the world. Much of the game’s mythos is based on Norse mythology, but its style has been influenced by Christianity and various Asian cultures as well.

Regarding specs, the features are not as good as the game though. It is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-21 (1.6GHz) processor and an 80GB hard drive. The 15.4-inch display has a resolution of 1280×768 which is supported by an ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics engine.

Moreover, the notebook supports Felica wireless payment gateway as well.

Lavie G Hello Kitty laptop is currently available in Japan market with a price tag of 199,500 Yen or about $1,650. Oh, and have I mention that the laptop is made by NEC?

On the inside, the notebook is powered by an AMD Sempron 3200+ (1.8GHz) processor, a 100GB of hard drive, a 1GB of main memory, and an AMD Radeon XPress 1100 graphics card supporting its 15.4-inch widescreen (1280×800) LCD display. Furterhmore, measures 360 x 260 x 37mm and weighs 3.1kg, LL550/HG is equipped with WiFI connectivity, memory card reader, a Multi DVD burner, Windows Vista Home Premium Edition OS, and Microsoft Office 2007 Personal Edition. No words on pricing yet, but it probably won’t come cheap.
