ASUSTek Computer Inc. (Asus) yesterday announced the next generation of its popular Lamborghini series laptop. The Lamborghini VX2 is powered by the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology and Windows Vista operating system, promising a fast, secure, and reliable computing perfomance. Not much detail about the laptop for now, other than the hood. It is designed with Lamborghini’s signature colors — yellow and black — respectively cast with aluminum-magnesium alloy and carbon fiber. It also has a special mirror painting surface on the cover.

Upon opening the notebook, users are presented with glare-type LCD display, metallic keyboard and a leather bound palm rest area completed with yellow stitching just like that of a car interior – capturing the Lamborghini luxury in a new tactile way. Speakers placed on the sides of the keyboard deliver a distraction-free audio performance. Rounding up, the fan lid of the notebook located on the back adopts the wheel rim concept, giving the practical feature a touch of ingenious creativity.

See? I told you that 8800 cell phone is Nokia’s Golden Boy. Here’s another proof. Just recently after the release of 8800 Sirocco Diamond Eidition, the company already co-op with Lamborghini, the famous Italian dream car manufacturer, and plan to offer the limited Lamborghini edition of Nokia 8800 Sirocco cell phone. The handset will get a few makeover, including the Lamborghini made ball bearings for the sliding mechanism and the laser-etched legendary Lamborghini logo on the front and on the stainless steel casing.

Regarding specs, the Lamborghini Sirocco won’t be much different than the original Sirocco phone version — 62K colors TFT LCD display with scratch-resistant sapphire coated glass, integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module, 120MB of onboard memory, Bluetooth, and EDGE. In addition, customers can expect several exclusive content, such as special Lamborghini ringtones and themes, as well as a video documentary forcing you to rob a bank to get hold of a Murciélago. Only 500 units will be manufactured worldwide.

No words on pricing and availability yet.
