Haier showcased its new 14.1-inch laptop during KES 2007 event, the “S60″. Build on Intel’s Santa Rosa notebook PC platform, S60 offers an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an Intel GM965 + ICH8M chipset, up to 4GB of DDR2 main memory, and an integrated Intel GMA X3000 graphics engine. Measures 327 x 275 x 26 ~ 43.4mm and weighs 2.1kg (incl. 4-cell battery), the machine is also equipped with a WXGA Glare-type display, a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, a biometric fingerprint reader, Bluetooth connectivity, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. No words on availability and pricing.

Samsung once again shown off its “Sens X22” laptop. This time during the recent KES 2007 event in Korea. The company is expected to release it in Korea market next month, with a suggested price between 1,800,000 (KRW) and 1,900,000 (KRW). Sony showcased an interesting yet innovative egg-shaped digital audio player during KES 2007 event. It’s called “Rolly SEP-10BT” and it can dance! I mean, this thing can dynamically move back and forth, left to right, and even spin with two rubber wheel; based on the rhythm of the currently playing track. About the track, this 300g-weight device supports MP3, AAC, and Sony’s exclusive media formats, ATRAC3 and ATRAC3+. Moreover, measures 65 x 104mm, Rolly also features a 1GB of onboard storage, Bluetooth connectivity, interactive user interface, and a 1560mAh Lithium battery that provides up to 5 hours of music.

Sony is scheduled to release Rolly DAP in Korea market very soon with a price tag of less than 350,000 (KRW).

Haier showcased a cool laptop with Transformer logo on its front cover during KES 2007 event. The 17-inch (WXGA) notebook is called “Haier G70″ or dubbed as “Trasnformer”. Build on Intel Santa Rosa platform, the machine sports an Intel 965PM + ICH8M chipset, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an nVidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics card with 256MB of DDR3 memory, a 2.5-inch SATA HDD, and up to 4GB of main memory. Weighs 3.95kg and measures 397 x 282 x 22 ~ 44mm, it is also equipped with an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, a biometric fingerprint reader, optional Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-cell battery.

Eventhough KES 2006 show already over, there are still a lot of interesting product to post. Check out this KB-1800 Mobile TV Phone from LG for example. This compact sliding-mechanism cell phone comes with M-XD engine for clear broadcasting quality, a colors LCD display with viewing angle of 170-degree, an external memory card slot, an electronic dictionary function, text viewer, and PC-out port for watching broadcast media on larger screen.

FlashField unveiled the Print Factory II (or PF-2), a CD/DVD Inkjet Label Color Printer, during KES 2006. Measures 490 x 780 x 250mm and weighs 12kg, this printer uses USB 2.0 interface to connect with your PC and it supports various printing quality, including 4800dpi (15ppm), 2400dpi (30ppm), and 1200dpi (60ppm). There’s a CD tray on the back side of the machine, and you can store up to 100 CD/DVD disc there. Not sure about the price and availability of the PF-2 color printer, but one thing for sure, the retail package will be bundled with SureThing CD/DVD Label software.

Another Jewelry-type peripheral is diplayed during KES 2006. From Movon, here goes the TP1C, a Bluetooth headset ‘filled’ with lots of gems. Weighs at just 13g, it offers a talk time of 8 hours, a standby time of 260 hours, and two colour variants – black and white.

Another navigation system with integrated T-DMB player displayed at Korean Electronics Show 2006. The JUCTOMA, from BRAINic, is a unique SiRF Star III-powered GPS device that incorporated a rectractable body to which you can attach either a 4.3-inch or 7-inch display. This ‘dual display’ feature is kinda handy. For example, you can put the bigger screen when using it at home or inside the car, while the smaller one is used when doing outdoor activities.

Most modern GPS has built-in PMP capabilities, and so does Juctoma. Apart from displaying map from Citus’ Rousen, it can also playback your music (MP3, WMA) or movie (DivX, AVI, ASF, WMV) collection, display picture (JPG, BMP), and view text/e-book. Other features include an AMD Au1200 CPU, a 128MB of DDR2 RAM, a 2GB of NAND, Windows CE 5.0 Core operating system, touch screen user interface, and Li-Polymer battery. Not bad.

LG Electronics introduced its new 32-inch LCD TV during KES 2006, the ‘EZ U 32LC32DQ’. Technical specs include a resolution of 1366 x 768, a brightness of 500cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 3000:1, and a response time of 6ms. It also features an easy-to-use OSD (On-Screen Display), noise reduction and color control functions, handy remote control, a hot key to adjust the brightness, and a variety of input terminals, like HDMI, S-Video, and AV-In.

If you have too much money on your pocket, this product would probably be a nice alternative to empty your wallet. Coming from LG, it’s a 71-inch Full-HD plasma TV made of Gold! The price for a 71-inch PDP TV alone is already expensive, so imagine one with 24k of gold. Displayed during KES 2006 event, it features a resolution of 1920 x 1080, an aspect ratio of 16:9, a brightness of 1000cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. Measures 1750 x 982 x 98mm, this luxury plasma TV comes with a Gold Home Theatre system as well. Unfortunately, no information about that one yet, so please hold your breath for now, boys.
