Along with the Ultimate 8502
, i-Mate also announced the release of “Ultimate 9502 cell phone“. This handset comes with almost similar specs as 8502, which include Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE network, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA network, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFI, microSD card slot, and an integrated GPS receiver. It also has the same direct video out port which enable users to connect the handset to a digital projector or TV and run presentations or make video calls.

Powered by a 400Mhz processor, 256MB ROM, and 128MB RAM, i-Mate Ultimate 9502 also features an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera module with auto-focus and LED flash, a secondary VGA camera for video telephony purpose, a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, and a 1660mAh Li-Ion battery. According to the company, this phone will be released exclusively through Australian Telstra in March with a price tag of AUD1099 or about $985.

i-Mate has officially announced the release of its brand new “Ultimate 8502 cell phone” at Mobile World Congress 2008 event. As previously posted, the Ultimate 8502 is powered by Windows Mobile 6 OS and features microSD media card slot, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, GPS navigation, full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.6-inch display. It also has a handy direct video output port, allowing you to watch the video or photo inside the phone directly on your widescreen LCD TV, along with a wide-range of connectivity options, including WiFI, Bluetooth, and 3.5G / HSDPA (up to 7.2Mbps).

I-Mate Ultimate 8502 cell phone will be available starting from March in Australia via Telstra and can be purchased for AUD1000.

i-Mate recently announced two new smartphones, the Ulimate 9502 and Ultimate 8502 models. The former is said to be the competitor of HTC Kaiser / TyTN II, featuring a QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM / tri-band HSUPA network, and Windows Mobile 6 OS. It also sports a VGA display, video out port, LED flash, 3.2MP camera, and a standard 2.5mm audio jack. As for the candybar Ultimate 8502, it boasts a 400Mhz Qualcomm processor, a 256MB of ROM, a 128MB of RAM, WiFI connectivity, GPS functionalities, Bluetooth 2.0, an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module, and a 2.6-inch QVGA display.

No words on pricing and availability of i-Mate’s Ultimate 8502 and 9502 cell phones. Also, notes that the company will soon unveil three other Ultimate series smartphones.

If you’re looking for a PDA phone, check out i-Mate’s Ultimate 5150 Smartphone. Other than the lack of full QWERTY keyboard, the handset comes with everything you’ll ever want from a PDA phone. Powered by an Intel Bulverde (520MHz) processor and the new Windows Mobile 6 operating system, 5150 features a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display with direct video out in XGA resolution, an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module, a microSD memory card slot, miniUSB port, and both WiFI and bluetooth connectivity. Furthermore, it runs on tri-band (850/1900/2100 or 850/1700/2100) GSM network with supports for UMTS (3G) and HSDPA (3.5G). Another version with quad-band GSM/EDGE-only support, will be available as well.

During CES 2007, i-Mate unveiled Momento 70 (no relation with Philips Design’s Momento Glass Ball), a digital photo frame supporting Windows Vista, including the cool Vista SideShow technology that utilizes a secondary display on the device for additional information. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD display with 800×400 resolution, WiFI connectivity, a USB port, and a 5-in-1 media card reader (SD/MMC/xD/SmartMedia/Memory Stick). And like other similar devices on the market, this photo frame can also playback music files (WMA, MP3) and has built-in clock and calendar functions.

As mentioned earlier, along with the release of PDAL Pocket PC, i-Mate also launched the JAQ3 Pocket PC in the Middle East market. The specs are almost the same as the PDAL though. Preloaded with Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC operating system, it comes with various handy application, including Microsoft Office Mobile, Windows Media Player Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Windows Mobile Direct Push Email, and MSN Messenger. Like its sibling, JAE3 is also equipped with full QWERTY keyboard and five navigational buttons. In addition, the’re a scroll wheel that makes screen navigation and web browsing even more convenient.

During vacation, you can capture your memorable moment with the integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module. Images can then be displayed on its 2.4-inch colors LCD display which has touch screen user interface as well. Regarding connectivity, i-Mate’s JAQ3 Pocket PC offers support for quadband GSM, EDGE, and 802.11b/g WiFI. Furthermore, on the inside, it is powered by a 64MB RAM and 128 MB of flash ROM.

i-Mate’s portfolio has grown with the addition of the new Windows Mobile 5.0-based Pocket PC, the PDAL. Powered by TI OMAP 800 (200MHz) processor and 64MB of RAM plus 128MB of ROM, this GSM quadband mobile device boasts a wide-range of connectivity options, including GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, and 802.11 WiFI. It has a 2.4-inch 256K colors TFT LCD display with both portrait or landscape orientation, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, and also a 5-way navigation pad for convenient web browsing. Furthermore, its 1100 mAh battery provides up to 4 hours of talk time. i-Mate PDAL Pocket PC will be available in black and silver colors, but no words on pricing yet.

Along with PDAL, i-Mate also released the JAQ3 Pocket PC. The SmartFlip phone uses TI OMAP 850 (195Mhz) processor as its engine. It is supported by a 64MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM. As for the 2.2-inch TFT LCD display, it has 240×320 resolution, 65K colors quality, and white backlight. A secondary 128×128 65K colors LCD is available as well. It can display time/date and useful notification (battery, text message, etc), along with a guide for the phone’s built-in MP3 player. Other features include a Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE connectivity, USB 1.1, 1.3 megapixel camera module, Polyphonic MIDI ringotone, and Document Viewer (Word/Excelt/Powerpoint and PDF).

i-Mate SmartFlip cell phone will be available soon with a retail price of $517.
