The old GPSmile 53 GPS Navigation has just got an upgrade. Its manufacturer, Holux, gave a little redesign on its body and replaced the SiRF Star III chipset with Mediatek MT3318 receiver. This new version of GPSmile 53 goes with the name “GPSmile 53CLife”.

Other features include a 3.5-inch (240×320) touchscreen TFT LCD, a SD/MMC media card slot for external storage options, optional Bluetooth, and optional TMC (Traffic Media Receiver) capability.

Holux To Release GPSmile 55 PND In US Market

Holux is going to release its “GPSmile 55″ PND (Portable Navigation Device) in US market. Measures 121.4 x 80.5 x 18 ~ 25mm and weighs 200 grams, it features a 4.3-inch wide touchscreen display, SD media card slot, and built-in TMC (Traffic Media Channel) receiver for real-time traffic information. For your convenient, the GPS supports bluetooth handsfree, making it easy for you to accept phone call while driving. Moreover, its 2600mAh battery provides up to 10 hours of usage, while its 400Mhz Samsung S3C2440A processor and Windows CE 5.0 Core OS promise a good perfomance.

Holux GPSmile 52 Car Navigator

Holux is on fire. After the GM-120 GPS Navigation, the company mentioned about the new GPSmile 52 Car Navigator, a complete in-car navigation system. Measures 9.5 x 7.7 x 2.2 cm and weighs at just 180 grams, the device features a 3.5-inches 16.7M colors touch screen LCD display with high-brightness and 240×320 resolution, a SiRF Star III GPS chipset which provides down to 10 meters accuracy with 20 channels, and Windows CE operating system. Its battery, an onboard 2600mAh Li-Ion, provides up to 10 hours of usage. Furthermore, the GPSmile 52 Car Navigation can take care your multimedia files as well. Simply attached an SD card preloaded with music and image files and the device will play or display them for you.

Holux To Release GM-120 GPS Navigation

Holux is going to release its latest GPS navigation system, the GM-120 model. Measures 109 x 59 x 22.8 mm and weighs 130 grams, this device features a large 160×100 4 colors (gray) display, miniUSB connection for transfering data and charging the battery, built-in antenna, and SiRF Star III GPS chipset. Two variant will be available – GM-120A and GM-120B. The latter will have some advanced functionalities, including barometer, altimeter, and an electronic compass. No words on pricing yet.

GPSmile53 (nice name) is the GPS device from Holux, the Taiwan-based company. Built mainly as an automotive GPS, this portable navigation offers an integrated TMC traffic receiver and a unique design. Powered by the popular SiRF Star III chipset and Samsung S3C2440A (400MHz) processor, this waterproof device is also equipped with Bluetooth function for making or receiving phone calls. For the OS, the company trusted its GPS on the Windows CE.Net 5.0.
