Measures 51 x 111 x 18.6mm and weighs 145 grams, Hitachi’s WOOO Ketai H001 is a great cell phone featuring a great 3D display and a 5 megapixel camera module with AF function. One can enjoy its 3D capabilities while displaying their photos or watching videos. And that’s thanks to the company’s 3.1-inch screen (845 x 480 resolution) that comes integrated with IPS technology. Sounds good, really curious what 3D display looks like on a mobile handset…

Anyway, WOOO Ketai H001 cell phone also features a microSD card slot for external storage, a built-in 1Seg TV tuner for on-the-go satellite TV programme, e-wallet support for convenient online transaction, and VOD function.

Hitachi has just updated its product portfolio with the new P60-XR01 Full HD Plasma TV. This 60-inch monster boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 10000:1, and a brightness of 1000 cd/m2. It adopted Hitachi’s proprietary e-ALIS technology — a technology that makes it possible to display a high-definition image of 768 lines using 384 scan electrodes, along with an iVDR-S player that lets users to directly record their favourite TV programme in HD format.

Hitachi P60-XR01 Full HD PDP TV will be retailed with a price tag of around €5300.

Hitachi’s Blu-Ray camcorder’s prototype, which previously unveiled during last year’s CEATEC show, will soon become reality. The company is currently working on this video camera recorder which will sport support for 8cm BD and DVD media. Hitachi claims that their first Blu-Ray camcorder will feature a 5.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, a full 1920 x 1080 resolution support, and the capability to record up to 7GB of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video. According to the schedule, the camcorder will hit the shelves in Fall.

Another new DAP arrives. Here’s HMP-X5, the successor of Hitachi’s HMP-G1 Portable MP3 Player. Features include a 2GB onboard storage, up to 16 hours of continous playback, and supports for WMA, MP3, and WM DRM audio formats. It’s lightweigh as well (just 36 grams), so you can carry it on your pocket conveniently.

Measures 61 x 90 x 135mm and weighs 435g, “DZ-HS300A” is the latest camcorder from Hitachi. What make this 1/6-inch CCD camcorder special is that it can record the video in either DVD or its built-in 8G hard drive (up to 3 hours in fine-quality mode). It can also dub the movie from the HDD directly to DVD at 1.5x speed with no PC require.

Other features packed inside this DZ-HS300A Hybrid Camcorder include a 25x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, USB 2.0 interface, extra sensory protection drop-proofing system, and 1-second quick start from standby mode. Price will be set at around 699,000 (KRW).

Yesterday, KDDI Japan announced 10 new cell phones available on their distribution line. One of them is the W51H from Hitachi. This clamshell handset boasts a large 2.9-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 480×800, a secondary color display, a biometric fingerprint reader for enhanced security, an integrated 2 megapixel camera with LED flash light, and a 30MB onboard memory with a microSD card slot for additional storage. If those aren’t enough, what about a built-in GPS functionalities with voice-activated command that allows you to simply speak the preferred destination and enjoy the shortest route on the display right away.

Measures 50 x 106 x 22mm and weighs 142 grams, Hitachi W51H cell phone will be available in two colors. And yes, you can only find this handset in Japan for now.

According to its press release, Hitachi is going to release its latest 3.3M CCD camcorder, Wooo DZ-GX5300. Measures 66 x 143 x 92mm and weighs 470 grams, this digital video recorder offers a 2.7-inch colors widescreen display and supports for variety DVD media, including DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, and DVD-R. It can also take a series of still photo shot automatically.

Hitachi Wooo DZ-GX5300 camcorder can be found very soon this month in Japan.

Hitachi recently offered RF-2500G, its latest LCD projector with a short focus zoom lens which is perfect for small-size room. It features a resolution of 1024 x 768 (XGA), a brightness of 2500 ANSI, and a vertical ‘auto-keystone’ function that can correct images when they are distorted by the projection angle. Up to 60-inch image projection can be developed from 1.8m distance.

Hitachi has just developed the world’s first hybrid DVD/HDD camcorders, the 1.3MP DZ-HS301E and 3.3MP DZ-HS303E. Both units come with an integrated 8GB hard drive and a DVD burner, allowing users to edit the movie on-the-fly using the hard drive and then burning it to the disc for convenient viewing. Up to 110 minutes of high-res video can be recorded on the HDD, and, unlike other standard HDD camcorders, you won’t run out of space, because you can easily transfer the movie onto a DVD once the storage almost full.

Here goes the latest product on Hitachi’s portfolio – the Prius Air Type R TV Desktop PC. As you might already suspect, the “TV” name means that the PC is equipped with a TV tuner, thus allowing you to watch your favourite TV programme on its 17-inch (1280×1024) LCD display without having to leave your work desk. I supposed you’d also be able to record the show directly on its 160GB hard drive and later burn the movie on a DVD disc with the provided MultiDVD burner. As for the engine, the computer is powered by a 3.2GHz Intel Celeron D CPU and a 512MB of main memory.

Hitachi Prius Air Type R TV Desktop PC is currently retailed for 1,050 EUR.
